Synopsis
Just got bored and had an idea for a story starter so I decided to make this. Also if you have anything you think the novel could improve on, please feel free to point it out. PS: I just started this on a whim and will not make an effort to upload consistently, so don't expect constant updates, however, I will try to keep it to a minimum of a chapter a week.

Chapter 1 - Farewell

"... Do you regret what you did, I have given you everything I could, yet it seems your arrogance is a flaw I overlooked."

'mmmmm' A vibration could be heard across the colorless void as a chained up old man could be seen frozen mid struggle as though they were about to break free.

"Even now you are squandering every bit of divine force you can muster to try and override the seal..."

"I'm sorry, it's my fault you're like this."

"Had I guided you better perhaps you could have been a spectacular being..."

"You know, they said they wanted to erase you, but I didn't let them."

"..."

"Ha... you know it's funny, you have done nothing but go against my will since the moment I gave you power, yet I am still fond of you for some reason."

"After everything you've done to both me and everyone else... I can't seem to bring myself to hate you, I should probably kill you right now ... nobody would stop me."

"You know I can still hear you clear as day, if you could have your way I would probably amount to nothing more than ashes right now... and you'd say something like "Don't feel too bad gramps, it's just the natural course of the world" or some other stupid remark trying to justify your actions."

"I know you can't hear me, and I know you don't care, but I'll be going to meet them now, rest assured, no matter what happens I'll make sure nothing happens to you... at least while I still can."

"Rest well child, if you ever even come to hear this just do me one last favor, and please throw me a good party, doesn't matter how small, or who's invited. I just want to make sure my legacy is at least one of joy, lest I be remembered as failure."

"... Farewell"
