Sienna's mind whirled around those words.
What on earth was Eric talking about?
Sienna frowned, reaching down to try to pull Eric up.
"I don't understand, but please stand up," She told him firmly.
"I saw you drive away," Eric didn't even seem to hear her, "I tried to chase you. I tried to save you."
Comprehension dawned on her as she glanced back at the information on her kidnappers that lay on the table.
"I don't blame you for that," She tried, "It's not your fault and I'm fine now, see?"
She smiled reassuringly at him when his troubled blue eyes darted up to her.
Instead of comforting him, it seemed to agitate him even more.
He drew an unsteady breath, as if gathering the courage to continue.
"I wanted to be the one to save you," He told the floor, his head bowed as if he was in a church and confessing to a higher power.
