Sienna felt warm tears trickle down her cheeks as she stared at Damon in disbelief.
Just as Damon had before, she struggled to find the words for the storm of emotions that were roiling within her.
"You- You-" She tried and then shut up, shaking her head.
Warm hands cupped her face and Damon swiped her tears away with his fingers.
That last person she remembered, whose embrace was so comforting in her final moments…
"It was you," She whispered.
Abruptly, she straightened, looking at him with alarm. There was a gunshot, she remembered the thunderclap sound of it.
But she didn't remember any sharp burst of pain.
"Did you also…" She floundered for a polite way to say it.
"Die?" Damon finished for her, he nodded without looking very upset.
In fact, other than concern in his eyes, his face was grave but fairly neutral.
