Sienna could feel herself flush, her body felt as if it was on fire.
"I…" She closed her eyes, wondering what would happen if she said yes.
Wondering if she could do a trust fall into love, fall into Damon's arms and not hit the ground.
But no one had given her a reason to trust anybody in the past.
She had fallen hard and hit the ground even harder.
She had been so blinded that she had died. Broken hearted and alone.
The visceral memory of her death was enough to make her inhale sharply and step backwards, her back hitting the railing of the boat.
"I would like to share the picnic with you," She managed to sound fairly put together.
To her relief, Damon didn't push for an answer, nor did he crowd her.
With a look that she could not decipher, he headed to the picnic basket and began setting the things out for them to enjoy on the deck.
