Chereads / A Demon's Blessing / Chapter 6 - Sigaleliara Pt.1

Chapter 6 - Sigaleliara Pt.1

After I was done finishing my business with Regla. I changed into my human form and headed to where I promised I would meet Elien.

As I went past the village, I noticed that the three men and Alisa's father were gone, including Regla's body. I went further inside and spotted people from the village. That was until four people suddenly stopped me.

These four people were the ones that fought against Regla.

"Who the hell are you?"

The one to speak was Alisa's father, who was in perfect condition, thanks to me. Besides that, his body was huge. His height and muscles were something that I never thought could be possible.

It made me question why Alisa was the shorter out of the three.

"Well, I... am, uhh..."

"Wait, father!"

I heard Alisa's voice and turned to look at her. Elien was right beside her.

"Alisa! You should be sleeping!"

"I know. But I need to tell you something."

Alisa looked at me with a smile on her face.

"That person is the reason we are still alive."

"Huh?"

Alisa's father's eyes widened, looking at the other three men and me.

"... So you are the one who killed this Demon?"

"Well, no, not exactly."

"What do you mean?"

"She killed it."

I pointed at Alisa.

The four took notice and widened their eyes in surprise at my remark.

"Let me rephrase that. It wasn't her own powers, but instead that of a blessing."

"A blessing!"

"Alisa did a god bestow you a blessing?!"

"Oh, um..."

Alisa looked at me and then at her father.

"Yes, yes, I did."

"From which god?"

"That..."

I pitched in since I knew it would've caused trouble if they knew the truth.

"Ahem. To answer that question. It is the same god that gave me my blessing. It seems that my god liked Alisa very much."

Hearing my words, Alisa's face turned red.

"Okay, but which god?"

"For that, I don't know either. My god is pretty stealthy. But I ensure they are a good god."

I lifted my arm and condensed a small orb of the magic of the divine element.

"D-Divine magic!"

Almost everyone nearby, including a couple of other people, shouted the same thing.

"My goodness! We really lucked out! Haha!"

Alisa's father shouted out loud until someone, many times shorter than him, elbowed his ribs.

"Ah!"

"Frey, you are too loud. There are still some injured people here."

The person who hit Alisa's father was a woman that almost resembled Alisa.

"Mother, please be careful."

Alisa talked to the woman and called her mother.

'Ah. So these are her parents.'

I smiled at the sight of the three talking to themselves.

Then one of the guys who fought Regla, the man who used the sword, walked past me and approached Elien. He then placed his hand on Elien's head.

"Elien, are you all right?"

I looked at Elien, and she stared back. She also had a reddened face as she saw me looking at her.

"I am, father."

"Good. Your mother would be proud."

Elien's redness disappeared, and she nodded at her father's words.

'I see. So that's how it is for her.'

I then gazed over the rest of the people and saw many injured.

"Ahem. If I could, may I heal them?"

They exchanged glances with each other before nodding.

***

One week went by.

During this week, I help the people of the village reconstruct. It was pretty easy since I had my -Materialization- skill. I even improved many things in the village.

Better weapons, defense, and house capabilities.

Elien asked me if she could have my blessing in the middle of the week. I didn't refuse and gave it to her. Now that my friends had my blessing, I gave Elien the skill -Materialization- so she could also help.

Alisa was also able to recover from her fight.

"Wow, you really improved our village, Allos."

"Think of it as a thank-you gift."

"What? I should be the one thanking you."

Alisa and I were walking through the village, heading for a particular place.

"So... are we going to cut my hair now?"

"Of course, we did promise, after all."

"Hmm..."

'I wonder what kind of style I'll get.'

We arrived at our destination, and just as I was about to knock on the door of a new reinforced house; it suddenly swung open, surprising me a bit and showing Elien on the other side.

"You're here. Well, come inside."

Alisa and I both entered Elien's residence and followed Elien to a room with a chair in the middle and tools on the sides.

"Allos, sit there."

I nodded and sat on the chair.

Then a blanket wrapped over me from behind, and my long hair was pulled out.

I noticed that Elien and Alisa were on opposite sides of me.

"Alright then, what do you want, Allos?"

"Hmm... anything you guys think would look all right."

Both of them glanced at each other and nodded.

And so they began to cut my hair.

It lasted about 25 minutes until they were finally done.

"I think that's it."

One grabbed a mirror and placed it in front of my face.

'Holy... hair does change someone's appearance.'

My hair was shorter than before but still considerably long for a guy. My black hair was now between my shoulders and elbow. I got my bangs cut shorter, with one side barely keeping my eye visible.

I felt embarrassed to say it myself, but...

...I looked handsome.

Over two years, I've improved my hair, jawline, nose, and muscles. How have I not noticed this before?

And it seemed that I wasn't the only one who noticed the change.

Alisa and Elien had red cheeks as they stared at my face.

'Maybe becoming a Demon was the right choice...'

***

In a certain building filled with multiple individuals in the same uniform, reading papers and getting up and down from their seats, among them was someone who read a particular document and got up from their seat to walk over and knock on a door.

"Come in."

The person went inside the room and closed the door behind them.

"Captain, we have a report on a Demon attack."

The Captain, sitting behind a desk, flinched at the term Demon.

"Is that credible?"

"From our sources, yes, we believe that this is, in fact, true."

The Captain placed their hand on their chin before speaking.

"How many died?"

"... zero."

"What? You mean to tell me that there were no casualties?"

"Yes."

"Then how..."

"Well, this report states that some were injured, but the Demon was killed during its attack."

The Captain's eyes widened at the statement, and spoke.

"By whom?"

"The one who killed this Demon is named 'Alisa'. With the help of a blessing."

After a few moments, the Captain then closed their eyes and opened their mouth.

"Send the 7th commander to that village to retrieve the body and question the involved ones."

"But, Captain, the 7th commander is currently..."

"It doesn't matter. She'll know how serious this situation is."

"Understood."

The one who reported the document bowed once at the Captain before leaving the room.

The Captain then got up from their seat and stood in front of a window behind them.

'I wonder... is it 'that' Demon?'

***

Two days have passed since my haircut. Since my hair was shorter, I decided to tie my hair into a ponytail.

I enjoyed living in the village. I met many kind adults, older people, and children. But I wanted to go out more into the world. And if I kept my second promise, my friends would join me on my journey.

I woke up early today and decided to return to the very spot I had been stuck in for two years.

Once I got there, I hesitated to enter the barrier area. I sucked it up and walked in,

Nothing happened.

I sighed with relief, walked over to the tree that was also stuck inside the barrier, and placed my hand on it.

"Looks like you're going to be alone from now on."

I lay on the tree and chuckled to myself.

'Haha... it's still uncomfortable.'

I stayed there for a minute before leaving with one more glance.

'I really did escape.'

Walking back to the village took a while, and the sun was shining when I got there.

But, there was something strange when I entered.

'What the...? This magic...'

I sensed something unfamiliar. No. I felt many unknown things. But one of them had a magic supply more significant than the others. Not only that, it was larger than that of Regla.

I dashed to the source. I spotted many people I knew in the village, creating a crowd.

That was when I saw them.

A group was at the village entrance wearing a blue and white uniform. They all looked like officials with their clothing. But one of them stood out the most. The one in the middle was wearing an icy-blue coat with a cape hanging from one of their shoulders.

'That person...'

'This woman is strong.'

Then the woman spoke.

"Greetings to you fine people! We are the 7th Formation of the 'Grand Eternal Judges', and I am the 7th commander, also known as the '7th Judge, Klesia Ieso'!"

At this point, everyone in the village was at the entrance and after Klesia Ieso's introduction, they talked amongst themselves.

"One of the 14 judges came here..."

"Wow, she looks as good as the rumors say."

"Is this about the attack?"

"Maybe they're here for protection."

Yes, she looked beautiful. She was taller than most average women, with long wavy dark brown hair, long eyelashes, sharp, beautiful icy blue eyes, and a great body, especially the upper half...

However, if they knew the magic, she was giving off, then sheer fear completely overshadows that beauty.

Although it didn't really matter to me.

I then notice the enormous structure of someone walking towards the group. It was Alisa's father.

"Thank you, honorable 7th Judge, for visiting this village." He said while bowing.

"There is no need to be so formal. This is the same village that stopped a Demon from rampaging, after all. "

"Thank you for your kind words."

"Well then, would you mind leading us to the Demon?"

"Why, of course."

Alisa's father walked in a different direction, followed by the group.

"Allos."

I turned my head to the familiar voice and stared at Alisa and Elien.

"Ah, good morning. Um... do you guys know about that group?"

Both of them looked at each other with confused expressions.

"You don't know about the 'Grand Eternal Judges'?"

"Well, yes. I mean, I was stuck in a barrier."

"Oh, that's right. Well, to put it short, they are regarded as the most righteous and powerful alliance, comprising 14 judges specializing in a different fields. Each judge has their formation that they command over."

'So they're some military. Does that mean there are six more people stronger than that woman-'

Just as I glanced over at Klesia Ieso's spot, her eyes, too, were staring at our spot. She looked away after noticing my eyes on her.

'What the? Why was she staring over here?'

I thought about it some more and concluded.

'Her eyes weren't focused on me. But on her...'

I looked at Alisa, who was right across from me.

***

'Hmm... that kid saw me looking at them. It was probably coincidental.'

Klesia Ieso, along with her formation, followed Alisa's father to the corpse of Regla.

When she and her group first saw the man, their thoughts were,

'Who is this man?!'

'What genetics can produce something like this?'

'This is the first time I've seen a body like this!'

Of course, they didn't show that to the people since they were from the 'Grand Eternal Judges' and had to maintain a formal composure.

"We are here."

Alisa's father led them to a small shack, opened the door, and revealed the decomposing body of Regla.

Some of them had to take a big gulp after seeing the dead body's condition.

"Would you look at that... that is without a doubt a Demon."

While her formation was a little disturbed by the corpse, Klesia Ieso smiled at the sight instead.

"It might not be in the best condition, but it should be enough for the smart ones back in the city. All right, bring the bag."

One of her people approached her with a human-sized bag and placed the body inside carefully.

Once zipped up and ready to go, Klesia Ieso faced Alisa's father.

"I thank you for your cooperation. Of course, you and your village will be rewarded greatly."

Alisa's father once again bowed. "Your words are too kind."

"Haha, it is fitting words for those who helped us with our investigation. Although I do have one more request."

"Yes, anything for the 7th Judge."

"Could you take me to the one who killed this Demon?"

***

About 10 minutes passed since the group left with Alisa's father.

I had many thoughts in my at the moment.

'Why was that woman looking at Alisa?'

'Did she notice something wrong with her? Perhaps the blessing?'

'No, that should be impossible since, in this world, nobody has used or heard of the system, excluding those two.'

"Ah, father's back!"

I reflectively turned my head to Alisa's father and the group. The longer I stared at them, the closer they got.

"Huh? Why are they coming here?"

Before I knew it, they were right in front of us three.

"This is my daughter, Alisa. Also, the one who defeated the Demon."

"What?"

Alisa had a dumbfounded face.

"Ahh, so you are the one who did it."

Klesia Ieso approached Alisa with a smile and reached out for a handshake.

"Ah, ah..."

Alisa, completely panicked, quickly took Klesia Ieso's hand.

I then spotted something weird.

The moment they took each other hands, Klesia Ieso's eyebrow twitched.

"There is no need to be so nervous. I'm just here to ask you a couple of questions, so why don't we go somewhere private? Oh, and your friends here can join us as well."

We moved into Alisa's home shortly after. In the house were Klesia Ieso and her formation, Alisa's parents, Elien, and me.

Both Klesia and Alisa were sitting down.

"All right, why don't we get started? So the first question is, were you the one who killed the Demon?"

"Yes."

Alisa answered confidently.

"Second question. Did anyone help you?"

"Yes."

"Third question, who was the one who helped you?"

Alisa changed her gaze over to me.

Klesia Ieso took notice and smiled as if she expected the response.

"Okay now, the fourth question is, who is the god that gave you their blessing?"

Alisa took a moment before answering this question.

"I do not know."

Klesia Ieso raised an eyebrow at the response.

"What exactly do you mean?"

Alisa again took a moment before responding.

"As I said, I do not know who this god is. But I think he will have more information on this matter."

She pointed at me, which caused Klesia Ieso's gaze to shift over to me with curiosity.

"Is that so?"

Her gaze was still on me, with a smile as if she were waiting for an explanation.

I sighed and then used the same trick as before.

My hand was covered in a golden light as it condensed into an orb of divine magic.

Even the unexpected event caused Klesia Ieso's eyes to widen a bit.

"While that still doesn't answer my question. I'll still take it."

I deactivated the flow of magic and continued to listen to the questioning.

They were pretty standard questions.

Did you use the divine element during the fight?

What weapon did you use?

Were you in any way injured?

Do you possess a healing spell...?

It took 10 minutes to answer all the questions.

Klesia Ieso looked like she was thinking of something for a while before opening her mouth.

"Haha, it seems that we have a strange one here."

Klesia Ieso got up from her seat and approached Alisa's parents.

"If I may, I would like to offer your daughter a recommendation to attend 'Sigaleliara, Academy Of The Grand Heros'."

'Sigaleliara? What the hell is that?'

I didn't know what this academy thing was, but it looked like Alisa's parents did.

Their mouth and eyes were wide open.

I looked at Elien, and her expression was the same as theirs. Then I looked at Alisa, but it was all the same. She had the most shocked face out of all of them.

'Just what is this academy?'
