Frederick entered the office trying not to show his surprise at the woman there.
"Destiny." He gave her his most charming smile as he sat in the chair beside her.
He raised an eyebrow at Hartridge momentarily. The principal said nothing.
"Fancy meeting you here." He turned back to the blonde haired.
There were a few humans that knew about the other realms and they were all close associates of Destiny Gomez. It had been a shock for all the realms when a human was chosen to be a Sister, it had never happened before. A lot had found it difficult to accept, some still didn't recognise her position.
"Frederick, I had no idea you knew where a school was." She smiled sweetly.
"Shocking isn't it." He chuckled which got on her nerves.
He had been one of the people that hadn't accepted her at first, which was a shocker considering how easygoing he was.
"Children." Hartridge sighed. Everyone was going to make him age beyond his years.
They'd lied to Kara when they told her Dimitri was the only one who knew of her existence, besides the Hartridges and her family. For her to be safe, ignorance was bliss.
"As I was telling Destiny before you interrupted..." He continued with a glare at Frederick.
"And I'm about to interrupt again, since when did you trust their kind?" The wolf returned the glare.
Destiny clenched her fists. "Since when YOUR kind started importing guns."
"What?!" He snapped at her. "What will we need guns for? No, why should we believe you? Or better still, why are you telling us?"
"The Why is none of your business. Believing is your choice. All I know is, Lucas Cahill requested an audience with Caramel. Before that, he is spotted around the weapon transfer sites, fishy much? And those are just the places he got caught. Who knows where else your kind is at." She snarled back at him, then she sighed. "For years, your kind cross over to the human realm and cause a ruckus, I do everything I can to cover it all up. Children, mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts and friends, I cover up their deaths because humans can't know that your lot exist. For years I complained but none of you aided me, so yes, why am I helping you? You can all go extinct for all I care."
Frederick frowned, he had nothing to say. Dimitri stepped forward.
"I am sorry we neglected your kind, but please help us whichever way you can." He pleaded.
She turned back to Hartridge. "I'm here because of the girl. I could be a manipulative and destructive human but I choose to be honest. Anastasia was the first to welcome me with open arms and I pushed her away in spite when she needed me. Fate told us her daughter's birth was an harbinger of change but we belied it because it meant she could keep her daughter. Even still, Ana brought her daughter to my realm as a sign of trust. You think you were the only ones protecting her, think again. I plan to see it through to the end."
She'd been married before she became a Sister but it was shattered by the no child rule. It took her years to accept her situation but there was nothing she could do.
There was total silence as she stood up.
"You men can deliberate over if I'm to be trusted as much as you want but I will resume my position as the librarian thank you very much. And if you so much as stop me, I'll take one of you down with me." She raised her jacket to show her hidden gun. "Humans are weak but we try when push comes to shove."
She raised her head high and met each of their gazes.
"Oh and harbinger of change doesn't necessarily mean she is the cause of destruction. Maybe she is the end to it."
Destiny walked out the door, leaving the men in total shock. Hartridge busted into laughter.
"Trust her to set us all straight." He commented.

Kara cornered Adrian at the end of the class, he gave her a nonchalant look.
"No, oh Kara, how are you feeling? My friend did quite a number on you, any bruises?" She said with an eyebrow raised.
"Oh Kara, how are you feeling?" He asked blandly.
She hid her smile before replying. "Fine thank you. What has your tail in a twist?"
He sighed. "I'm going to the cafeteria Kara, I'm starving."
He walked away. Liv threw her arm around Kara's neck.
"Well you can't blame him, he is still pissed at you for the reckless stunt you pulled." She told her with a shrug.
Kara rolled her eyes. Couldn't they all get over it, the rumour had even died down a little.
"You should apologise to Ezra. " Liv told her as they walked to the cafeteria.
People still glanced at them from time to time but it wasn't so bad, or rather, the two girls didn't care. Klaus joined them at their table, surprisingly, Ash did to. He had a warm smile on his face.
"Hey, how are you? I meant to check up on you. " He apologised.
Kara shook her head. "Its fine and I'm alright. Back in the fighting spirit."
"Why did you provoke him?" He asked with a puzzled expression.
The others leaned in to hear what she had to say.
"I'd never seen a shadow fight with his abilities." She answered with a shrug.
They talked about classes and the things happening in school but at the back of her mind, Kara was making plans. Her ears pecked up when she got a word of some's conversation.
~"... the factions are attacking the realms. My mom says they've probably found a description of the taboo child and are trying to eliminate people that have a resemblance to the description and their families..."~
~"... some people who are thought to be the allies of the taboo child. My dad says it serves them right for supporting a weapon of mass destruction. If I find the cursed child, I will kill him and gain the favour of the Sisters..."~
There were so many hushed conversations circulating around the 'taboo child' 'faction' 'killings 'supporters.' Kara couldn't seem to block her ears from it, soon she was hearing her own heartbeat. She looked around to see if anyone else heard it as she gripped the table. It was as if her heart wanted to shout, 'the one you speak of is right here!'
"Hey hey." Klaus placed his hands on hers.
Her eyes looked wild when they clashed with his, she pulled away and hurried out of the cafeteria. He glanced from her to the spot her hand had been, he subtly threw a napkin over Kara's frozen finger prints. He hit the cup of water on his tray and it poured on the napkin, making the ice melt.
Klaus rubbed his sour fingers and looked up. His eyes clashed with Ash's, he wasn't sure if he had seen what she had done but he looked away.
Kara clutched her hands to her chest, she felt the marks at her back tingling. It was like everything in her was threatening to bust. It felt like the first time she was about to turn but she couldn't turn. Everyone would know who she was.
But then again, maybe they deserved to know what she was. Maybe then people wouldn't die because of her. The cursed child. The one bringing destruction. And yet she was here enjoying a smooth high school.
Kara wasn't paying attention to her surrounding, her aim was to get to the dungeons fast. It was a deserted place, so she would likely meet no one. As soon as she stepped into the place, a blast of cold wind came from her to hit the walls. They glittered ice. She shivered and hit her shoulder on the wall to stop herself from falling. A trail of white was left behind in her every step.
Anyone looking at her would have seen a glistening white haired girl with blue eyes and blue lips. Ice for eye lashes. She was exhausted from trying to keep it all in. Kara wailed at the first crack of bone and she fell to the floor. Her right leg was twisted awkwardly. Panting, she kept dragging herself deeper into the dungeons, no one would hear her cry there.
The next wave of pain blinded her vision, luckily she had gotten to one of the cells. She tried to ease her breathing but it didn't work. The rest of her bones shifted at the same time.
Though faint, everyone could hear a blood curling cry that sent shivers down their spine.
