Orion walked forward slowly and the closer he got to where Abby was standing the looser the magic field and he counted in his head. Kora would have to make it out to him at the one hundred foot mark and he could then disappear with her. Not that they wouldn't follow, but it would take time to find them again. A hundred feet didn't seem like much, but through the thick snow it was.
He stopped and wished one of his gifts was to just mentally teleport someone without needing them right there by him. Unfortunately that wasn't one of his gifts. He was able to shift this far out he could feel it, but sensing the number she had out here and that they were prepared. He needed to be methodical about this and not leave a gap for them to attack the house.
