Chereads / Villain Unpredicted Life / Chapter 11 - Game Over

Chapter 11 - Game Over

It had been close to two hours since Roy had left Turner Territory. All the soldiers stood guard around the cave. The fire was all around the cave, and some monsters were coming out of it.

Any monster who tried to get out of the cave initially would hesitate to come out after seeing the fire, but despite that, whoever came out, all the soldiers would attack them and kill whoever the monster came out.

Soldiers who had come from Reinhardt Territory would always turn their eyes to the tree while fighting the monster where Hugh would hold Amelia's head on his lap, giving her bottled water whenever she was in a bit of pain.

Then Amelia's pain subsided after drinking bottled water, and her breathing returned to normal after intensifying.

Daniel, seeing all this and Hugh's condition, would have felt a little pity. He also understood that he was the reason for Amelia's condition. If he could handle the crisis in his territory, then all this might not have happened.

"Hugh I still feel that we should call the healer from a medical facility. We should not be sitting here like this. Miss Amelia might even die if that boy couldn't come on time."

Roy had refused them to take Amelia from here, but still, if anyone saw Amelia's condition, then it would be the right decision to show her to the healer of the medical facility.

How long will they take Amelia's pain away with the help of water from Roy's given bottle, so Daniel was still asking Hugh to call the doctor from the medical facility to get Amelia checked up, Despite knowing that Roy has refused them

"How long will we be able to ease Miss Amelia's pain with the help of this bottle of water. Will this water not run out, then what will we do? Hugh, Think a little deeper. We should call some staff from the medical facility to show Miss Amelia at this time."

Daniel's reasoning was correct; if even a common man had to make a decision at this time to rely on Roy and let Amelia lie on the ground that Roy would come, then a solution would be found.

Or go to the medical facility and get Amelia treated. Whoever made the decision in this situation would have chosen another option. So Daniel was also right in his point.

But Hugh, knowing all this, was not ready to take Amelia away from here.

"No, we won't take Amelia away from here. We will wait for his arrival as Roy says and then we will accept whatever he decides."

Hugh once ignored Roy's words, and this condition happened to Amelia; she survived to death. Had Roy not come on time, they might not have been alive.

That's why Hugh was not ready to disobey Roy's words. He didn't want to put Amelia's life at risk.

But Daniel did not agree after hearing this; he still did not feel right even after hearing Hugh.

"Hugh, I know that boy is powerful but I don't feel right to be completely dependent on him. The healer will definitely have the solution to remove this monster's poison, so think again."

Daniel had also seen Roy's power, he also believed that Roy was more powerful than his age, but he could not trust him so much yet.

According to Daniel, Roy definitely loves Amelia, but seeing his pride, he can also make some wrong decisions, so Daniel was still adamant on his point.

He wanted that we should not lose anyone's life by delay.

"If you are afraid that that boy will get angry with you or say something bad to you, then I assure you that I will tell him that-"

Even before the whole sentence of Daniel was over, Hugh pointed one hand toward Daniel and gestured him not to speak anymore, and after telling him, Daniel became silent.

"Daniel, don't talk to me about this anymore. We will not take Amelia anywhere from here. We will wait for Roy to come. I just don't want to talk about it anymore."

Daniel disagreed with Hugh; he did not understand why Hugh trusted Roy so much. But Daniel did not dispute with Hugh but instead started looking at Hugh and Amelia in silence.

'Don't know why Hugh trusts that boy so much.'

If that boy only wanted to help us, could he not have come with us in the monster submission? He was asking me about Leviathan Mountain, but it takes at least a day to reach there if we go by horse.

So how will he come up with a solution that will make Miss Amelia's condition right?

I don't understand all this.

Daniel couldn't understand Hugh's confidence as to why he trusted Roy so much when he sent Hugh into a monster subjugation where Hugh's life could be in danger.

It was all very strange for Daniel.

But only Hugh knew that it was Roy who told Hugh the root cause of Turner Territory's disease and how to kill the Kreman monster, so Hugh wanted to believe Roy's words as they were.

He did not want to put Amelia's life in trouble by not accepting Roy's words.

Hugh was looking at Amelia's head sadly at her feet. He did not want to see his sister in this condition, but he could do nothing except wait for Roy.

Hugh's eyes were on Amelia's face, her face slowly turning blue, but Hugh still did not give up hope. He believed that Roy would cure Amelia.

'Roy, I believe in you, you will cure Amelia. I beg you, please, not to break this trust of mine.'

*****************

After falling into the dark pit, Roy saved himself from falling on the conical-shaped stone below with the help of his sword inside a large cave.

Those stones were so sharp that it would have been difficult to survive if anyone had fallen on them.

'Thankfully I was finally able to avoid falling on these stones.'

These stones look so sharp that I am even a little scared that if I had fallen on them, would I have survived?

Leave this aside; the most important thing right now is that I survived and am safe and sound.

This cave is precisely like the one I saw in the game. There is light here, but I do not know where is the source of this light. But there is so much light here that everything is visible.

This is where my friends used to come by teleport; its name is the Dungeon of Myths. Maybe I don't know something like this very well, but perhaps I had heard from the mouth of my friends.

'Now move upwards or else there will be a fear of falling down.'

Roy began to move upwards, placing the weight on his sword.

Roy stood there as soon as he climbed up and started looking around him. There were sharp stones at the bottom. And over them was made a path, means of walking close to the wall.

After being on the path ahead, they would merge into one and start going forward.

'Here will be a door from where we will get a way to break that poison.'

Just don't let my memory go wrong. For the first time, I am happy that my friends keep babbling about this game in front of me.

If they didn't grumble, it would have been very difficult for me to live here, but who knew that one day I would come inside the game?

Well, leave now; this is not the time to think about it; I should start moving forward.

Roy began to move forward with his sword in his hand. He seemed a bit unsure, but still, he believed in himself and started moving forward.

'Just don't get me to a wrong destination.'

Roy encouraged himself to move forward.

***********

After walking inside the cave for a while, Roy stood at a dead end. There was a big wall in front of him, too, and a big one on both the right and left sides. There was no way to go further, so just the wall.

'I had seen that much in the game that to go inside from here, the wall used to move away and show the way forward, but if the wall will move away, then how will it move?'

When my friends came here in the game, they used to make the game character jump and make him hit somewhere with the sword, then something happened, and the wall would open, but where would they strike? How do I find out?

Roy was touching the wall with his hand to see if some way could be found. One by one, even after touching all the walls around him, the way to go forward was not opened.

Roy looked at the wall a little away from the wall, and there was an iron chain on the front side of the wall, which was going up to the ceiling at the top.

There was an iron chain in front of the ceiling as well, from which it seemed that nothing was tied to it, but when we look closely, it was attached to some fine thing.

'Did they break this chain by jumping the player?'

I don't know whether they used to break the chain or not, but they used to do some attack as soon as the player jumped in the game, so it may be that they only broke this chain.

I do not have time to think about it right now; I must try and see everything as much as possible; otherwise, my one mistake can lead to very dire consequences.

Roy took his sword and looked at the chain. Flames had started pouring out of his sword.

'Just you are the only way to which I will be able to go ahead; just don't let me wrong.'

Roy jumped up, pushing his foot down. As soon as he jumped, Roy slammed his sword on the chain.

After being hit on the chain, the chain broke, and Roy came downwards.

As soon as the chain broke, the chain which was attached to the other chain got cut off, and it started going down to the wall. And as soon as that chain hit the wall, a tiny thing that was stuck in it went inside the wall as if someone had pressed a button.

As soon as that thing went inside the wall, the sound of stones started coming, and the wall started shaking.

Roy was watching all this while doing one leg down, his face did not show so much, but it seemed as if he was tired because of working so hard.

But he was still watching all this.

As soon as the wall was shaken, the wall split into two parts and started going in opposite directions from each other department. And a way forward began to be seen between them.

'This is the door I saw in the game.'

I only saw in that game that the wall goes into two divisions, and we start seeing the way forward. Thankfully it was quickly found; otherwise, I don't know how much more effort I would have had to work to find it.

Roy was rising from the ground, and once he wiped the sweat from his face with his hand, and when he looked at his hand, there was blood on it.

Blood was coming from Roy's mouth.

'Maybe I put too much emphasis on my body.'

Leviathan Mountain was fifteen miles away from Turner Territory, but I could cross it in just an hour because Roy's specialty was magic and speed; and then climbed Leviathan Mountain; as soon as I reached it, after climbing it, I found a way to this cave.

If I do all this without any rest, then there will be some effect of stress on the body.

'Don't give up now, you have to go a long way again. I have to make you work even harder, so stand up.'

Roy began to stand up with blood dripping from his face and prepared to move forward. There were also wounds on his body, but still, he started moving forward, ignoring them.

There was only one concern in his mind.

'Time is running out. Hurry up, Kazuo.'

Taking this in his mind, Roy went inside that wall.

*************

It had been about ten minutes since Roy came on the way to the wall. Roy was going towards the front as if he knew where this road was going.

'Here, somewhere in the front, there will be some flying stones, jumping over which we will get a flower whose name Night Queen maybe, I do not know very well.'

I had seen my friends, going towards here, now I have to go from here with the help of what I saw.

I wish I had played that game; I would have got a clear idea, but now what is the use of regretting it? Nobody knows that someday he will come into the game.

But now what has happened, so it is done, Kazuo, think about how to move forward. I do not know whether there can be any traps, so I should proceed cautiously.

Roy was going forward with his sword in hand. He was watching around him cautiously that there should not be anything around here that could harm him.

He was moving forward, looking ahead at the traps, and so on.

When Roy was about to go a little further, he could hear the sound of something coming very fast near him.

'Where is this voice coming from-'

As Roy tried to bring his eyes towards the voice, three huge stone balls started coming towards him from the right, left, and back.

Those three stone balls were coming toward Roy so fast that they would hit Roy in a few seconds.

As soon as Roy saw the stones coming toward him, Roy did not even have time to escape.

'What the hell is–'

Roy held his sword tightly in his hand, and just as the stone was about to touch Roy's body, Roy struck all three rocks simultaneously with his sword.

When Roy's sword touched the stone, the blade went through the rocks, and those stones disappeared. As if no stone had come there.

Seeing this, Roy's senses were blown away; he could not believe his eyes saw right.

'What was it now? Was it my illusion?'

I just saw the stones coming towards me, but as soon as my sword touched them, they disappeared. How is this possible?

Did this happen in the game or not? I don't know very well, but I learned from this scene why this cave must have been named Dungeon of Myth.

Roy was looking at the walls built around him; he was still unable to understand how the illusion would have been created even if it was created.

'I shouldn't think too much about it. This is a game world, so such a thing can happen here, I should not focus so much on it and move on.'

Roy, putting his sword in the sheath, turned back and started preparing to go forward.

As soon as Roy turned his gaze towards the front, only about an arm's distance away, a similar big stone was about to crush Roy.

Seeing this, Roy did not even have time to take out the sword, and in just a few seconds, the stone was going to crush Roy.

'Now what's this new-'

Roy could not do anything at this time; he put as much courage as he could and gave his punch to that stone.

Due to Roy hitting the stone, the stone stopped at its place, and slowly cracks started coming on it, and as soon as the crack came, it started falling to the ground.

There was no sound of the stone approaching Roy, nor was it an illusion; it was a real stone.

Drops of blood started falling on the place where the pieces of stone had fallen. And the source of that blood was Roy's hand.

He already had a wound from the inside in his hand due to the slashing sword in his hand, and now after the stone hit, the injury was formed from the outside also.

Roy's pain was unbearable, but still, he did not cry for any pain or cry for help. He put one hand to the other and sat down on the ground with his feet down.

His eyes were closed, probably because of pain.

'Kazuo, you are in Roy's body, who is very powerful, so pain will not do you anything. Come on stand up now. And move on.'

Roy sat on the ground with his eyes closed for a few moments but started standing from his place. Blood was everywhere in his body, but even then, Roy ignored it and started preparing to move forward.

'But…..what was it all about?'

I heard the sound of those stones which were moving, and the sound of the one which was actually a big stone did not come at all; what is this illusion?

I must take every step carefully because I know as much as I have seen my friends playing the game. I do not know much about this cave, so caution is crucial for me.

Now stand up, think about what is happening, and start moving forward. You are not weak.

Roy, standing comfortably from his place, started moving forward. He looked tired and injured but was not ready to stop even for a moment.

He probably would not leave here without taking the cure for that poison with him.

'I can do this.'

Roy started moving forward with this belief in his mind.

**************

For some time, while walking in front of that path, Roy had reached in front of a big entrance. That entrance didn't have any door or anything in the entrance to close it; it was completely open.

Inside the entrance, there was no way to go to the platform, which was located on the other side, but many stones were floating in the air between them.

Under the stones, there was a very deep ditch where nothing but darkness could be seen, and to reach the other platform, one would have to jump over those stones.

Roy came inside that entrance and started looking at those stones carefully. Some thoughts were running through his mind.

'My friends used to jump over these stones in the game I'm sure.'

When my friends reached this far in the game, they used to jump over these stones and go to the other side, but jumping over the rock was not more dangerous.

There was a reset option in the game, but how can it be reset in real life? If you die, you die. Then you cannot come back to life. But if I want to go ahead, then I have to cross it.

But before leaving, one should definitely check for safety. Otherwise, there will be no second chance, and death is inevitable.

Roy picked up a small pebble from below ground and looked at the stones.

'It should be confirmed once. Many such strange things have happened here, if you do not take care even now, then even one mistake of mine will give very terrible results. Hence caution is necessary.'

Roy turned that pebble towards his back and threw one of those stones towards the stone.

As soon as the pebble hit that stone, it went across this stone, and seeing this, Roy's goosebumps stood up.

He could not believe that this stone was also an illusion. He started wiping off the sweat from his face, keeping one of his hands towards his face.

'It is good that I first hit the small stone on those flying stones or else I would not have been alive now.'

I definitely saw in the game that my friends used to jump over these stones to move ahead. But this is an illusion, so how can one jump over it?

Wouldn't it be precisely the same as what I saw in the game?

'No, if it had happened, I would not have even been able to reach it, that means it is the same game, I should try once again.'

Roy again picked up three pebbles from the ground and started hitting the stones one by one.

As soon as those pebbles hit the stones floating in the air, they would have passed through them. Seeing this, Roy could not understand how he would be able to go ahead.

Roy sat down on the ground seeing those Pebbles going through the stones. Both his hands were on his face. He was tired.

He was tired both physically and mentally. And now, he was not even getting the way to go forward; he could not understand what to do next.

'What new trouble is this, if it is all an illusion, then what other way will be there to move forward, how will I find that now.'

I saw them move forward without difficulty in the game, so why is this stone illusion? I can't climb above them; how will I be able to go ahead now?

I have very little time. Won't I be able to save Amelia?

Roy slowly started losing his courage; he could not find any way to go ahead.

One his wounds and the other, the mental pressure of not being able to find a way forward, both were forcing Roy to give up. Roy now felt that he had lost.

Roy's eyes were starting to go down, losing his confidence; he was only thinking about how he could go ahead.

As soon as Roy's eyes were on the ground, his eyes started going to the letters written below.

Some letters on the ground below were probably made of sharp objects, but they were shining differently. Those letters were glowing yellow light. On seeing those letters, Roy started putting his hand on those letters.

'This place is shining in something different, maybe something is written here too.'

Keeping his eyes on the ground, Roy began to see what was written there.

/ If your eyes have caught on this, then you must have given up. You have come this far, so let me give you a chance to go ahead. So take this mercy of my help-/

While reading the letters written on the ground, Roy could not understand who would have written them and what they would mean, but still, Roy started reading what was written next.

'Was this something told in the game?'

Was it something like this in the game, but the game wasn't just about jumping over those stones in the air?

Maybe it must have been told in the description that neither I would have noticed nor my friends would have told me.

But now, it can also happen to be a person that the one who has crossed this dungeon or the one who has created this dungeon can be either of those two.

But whether this dungeon could have been created by itself or made by someone, it is probably impossible to find out.

Read on, Kazuo; maybe this is the way to tell you the way forward.

Roy began to re-read what was written on the ground below.

/ light will come in the moonlit night,

Will tell the real reality of the stones.

Only the one who gets the light will survive.

And if you jump on some other, you will not survive. /

Roy was carefully looking at every letter written on the ground.

'Is this a poem?'

If an attempt is made to understand its meaning clearly, then there is no doubt that it may have been told to go further from here.

But can it be trusted?

I do not understand the other way to go forward, so should I try? Once I understand this poem, maybe I can find a way.

What's the harm in trying it once?

Roy stood up from the ground and started to look at the stones.

{Light will come in the moonlit night, and will tell the real reality of the stones.}

Roy was moving his eyes here and there; he wanted to see if the moonlight was coming from somewhere.

It was dark there, but there was enough light to see what was in front of us. Roy was looking around and looking for the source of this light.

After looking around for a while, Roy's eyes went upwards. Everything was covered above, but a hole had been made at the corner, from where the tiny moon was visible, and some light was also coming from there.

Roy again cast his eyes on the stone which was flying.

{Only the one who gets the light will survive, and if you jump on some other, you will not survive.}

Roy's eyes were on those stones; he saw the moon's light; where was it falling?

The light of the moon was falling on the stones. Many stones were flying in the air, some of which were leaving blue light when the light fell on them.

Roy was looking at those stones.

'If we go on the basis of this poem, then it means that only the stones on which the light will come will be real, that means the stones which are giving blue light will be real. Apart from this, I do not find any other meaning of this poem.'

Roy again picked up a stone from the ground and started hitting the flying rocks. This time he started hitting only those stones on which blue light was coming.

As soon as Roy hit the pebble on those stones, the pebble collided with the rock and fell down; those stones were real, not an illusion.

'It didn't go through the stone, that means it's real. Now I look at others also.'

Roy hit all the pebbles on the stones one by one from which the blue light was coming on them, and the stone collided with them and fell down. That is, it was all real.

Seeing this, standing a little ahead of where he was standing, Roy stood at the end of his platform. And started looking in front.

'Now this is the real stone, I have to jump over them and move forward. Like my friends used to go ahead in the game. I don't know whoever wrote this poem, but thanks to you I got the clue to go ahead.'

Roy was standing at the end of the platform and looking down; there was a deep dark ditch in which, if he fell once, it would probably be tough to survive.

Roy, seeing this, courageously looked forward to himself.

Those flying stones were a short distance from Roy, and they were not big enough to balance comfortably, but still, Roy was preparing to jump over them.

'I can do this. That much fear cannot compel me to back down.'

Roy put all his weight on the front foot while moving his leg back. And as soon as he put weight on his feet, Roy jumped on top of those stones.

Even after Roy's jump, the stone did not fall down but kept floating in the air, seeing that Roy got a little relaxed. Then he looked at the other shining stone and jumped on it.

And one by one, Roy jumped over the shining stones, slowly moving forward to reach the other platform.

Roy was about to reach the end while jumping, and only one stone was left between him and the second platform; he was about to cross this place.

'Now this is the last stone left, then I will cross this and next to it I will find a flower whose name was probably the Night Queen. Its juice is the break of all poison, just one more step now and then I will be able to get that flower.'

Roy agreed to jump over the last stone. As soon as Roy jumped, suddenly he heard some sound.

As soon as the sound came, when he turned his gaze to his side, he found that two giant axes from both his right and left sides, which were sharp on both sides, were just a few moments away from his body.

They were about to rip Roy's body from both sides in just a few moments.

'What's all this now-'

Roy did not have time to escape, nor could he go forward. Roy tried to jump on the other stone as fast as he could and jumped.

Those two axes went away, tearing down where Roy was standing. And as soon as Roy's foot fell on another flying stone. That stone completely broke.

Seeing this, Roy remembered a terrifying thing that he had probably forgotten.

'Dammit, I forgot that there was a time limit too-'

As soon as Roy's step touched that stone, that stone broke, and Roy started falling down very fast.

The walls were too far away from Roy, due to which he could not even take support to avoid falling down. He was just spinning in the dark ditch and falling.

Roy had no idea of any way to escape. Roy was trying to get wind magic around him, but due to the spin, he was not able to use the magic too well.

'God, will you just kill me?'

Roy was just falling down into the dark abyss.
