''Today, we have Mr. Yu Lin Shen here with us. He is the youngest son of the Yu family and just came from abroad after living and staying there for a long time.'' Ana began the interview.
''Mr. Yu has his own fan base on the internet and they are called Yu lovers. I specially asked the fan base to give us a few questions that they would like to ask Mr. Yu and trust me, Yu lovers gave me a lot.''
''Apart from the questions from the Yu lovers, we also have a few more questions that will help people to better understand who Mr. Yu Lin Shen is and what he stands for.''
''Without wasting much time, let's get into it. Mr. Yu Lin Shen, welcome to Glow up Magazine. My name is Ana Lee.''
''Thank you for having me, Miss Lee.''
''So, my first question to Mr. Yu Lin Shen is this…''
''Miss Lee, I've been curious about you since I came here. How about we do it this way? If you ask me every two questions, I will ask you one in return?''
''Pardon?''
''I think that is only fair, right?'' Lin Shen smiled.
Ana looked at her father and he gave her a nod. Ana looked at Lin Shen and agreed. ''Okay, since Mr. Yu Lin Shen is so curious, I will agree to it but I must tell you, there is nothing interesting about me.''
''We will see!'' Lin Shen replied.
''Mom, what is going on there? Why do I feel that they are flirting? Mom, what if that wench seduce Shen'er?'' Shanshan became worried after watching them for a while.
''Relax, Shanshan. It's just for the show. Besides, when she experience a wardrobe malfunction, Lin Shen will be so repulsed by her. He will think she dressed to seduce him. He will hate her even more.'' Mrs. Gloria assured Shanshan.
''You think so, mum?''
''Yes, I know so!''
''So, my first question to Mr. Yu Lin Shen is this. You stayed in abroad for so long. What made you suddenly want to come back?''
''Well, home is home, right? No matter where you are, at some point, you would want to return home. I missed home so I decided to return.''
''I see. Then, my next question is. There are a lot of speculations that you are going to sign unto your family's music label and continue the heritage of making music. Is that true?''
''I always ask people what music is to them? A lot of people have what makes music special to them. Growing up in a family of musicians, a lot of people think that the next step for me is to become one."
"But to me, music goes beyond just saying or putting words together. I want to explore what music means to me and until then, I am going to be a freelancer.''
''That is interesting!''
''My question, then. I want to know something about Miss Lee. Why do you work so hard, knowing very well that at the end of the day, your sweat is just going in to make someone else more powerful than you?''
'Why do I work so hard, knowing that at the end of the day, everything I am working for isn't going to be given to me on a platter of gold?'
The question made Ana to think deeply upon all the struggles she had gone through so far.
'I joined Glow up at the age of 20. When it was falling apart, I spent my youth building it up, making sure it became what it was today. But each time I look back, I always feel that I was just wasting my youth away in something that was never really mine to begin with.
'I knew it wasn't mine, yet I deceived myself into believing that one day it will become mine.
'Growing up, I fought for everything I have today. I fought to be first and excellent in everything in I was told to do.
'I wanted to hear praises from everyone. Must have steamed from the lack of love in my childhood.
'Even till now, I never really understood the true meaning of life and love. Which is more important? I just know that as long as I work hard, I will be noticed'
Ana looked at Lin Shen, seemingly in a daze. Her gaze shifted to her father and stepfamily. Ana looked at them and turned back to Lin Shen.
''All corporate workers are slaves. We work to fill the pockets of our bosses. That's just life. But I work hard because I want to make myself proud. I am a perfectionist so I always want to be the best I can.''
''I see!''
''My question is. Mr. Yu Lin Shen just said that you want to explore music more and until then, you will not be making a decision. Your fans have waited so long to hear solo music from you. Do you have the heart to disappoint Yu lovers?''
''My fans love me and want me to give them my best hence, I believe they will be understanding of my decisions.''
''My next question to Mr. Yu is, do you have a girlfriend?''
Lin Shen picked his glass and sipped the juice a little and asked back. ''Was that one of the questions my fans sent or what you wanted to know?''
''Huh?''
''Just kidding. I don't have a girlfriend.''
''Oo. Then…''
''It's my turn, Miss Lee. Do you have a boyfriend?''
Ana's hands quivered but she remained calm and with a smile, she replied, ''I'm sorry, Mr. Yu but that is a part of my life I don't want to disclose on air.''
''I see!''
''Mr. Yu, this question is also from your passionate fans. They want to know who your dream girl is like.''
''My dream girl?'' Lin Shen looked at Ana and smiled saying, ''I want a woman who is stubborn. Stubborn in the way she pursues her dreams. Someone who understands music. Someone who can't cook because I love cooking and want to be in charge of cooking. Brown eyes with long hair that is often tied measly in a bun. It's okay if she loves me as much as I love her and most of all, someone who will not suddenly break things off without a reason.''
Lin Shen leaned back and looked at Ana whose gaze was equally fixed on her. He chuckled and added, ''Miss Lee, if you know someone like that, do recommend them.''
