A vicious cycle started once Cynthia dissapeared. Many who were on the edge, waiting for her to leave, got their chance and took the initiative to get things under control whereas many started to lose their mind over her disappearance.

Only about three months and she was in everyone's mind to such an extent that it was harder for them to forget her even after two years has passed.

Ed who was completely cured now, gave more time on work to forget her presence. Yet it wasn't a lie that he was still waiting for any news regarding her. He never told his people to stop looking for her but he has just stopped asking about her continously.
