"Allowing myself to take chances to save a dead youth was the greatest thing I did," he told me after a sigh.

I swallowed. Another thing for him to say about meeting me in his world. "You did not save my life, right?"

"I did," he replied with a gentle smile.

I shook my head. There was no way that was possible. We lived in very different worlds and the idea of sending me to his world before sending me back home was too impossible for me to believe.
