After leaving the room he made his way down to the practical training hall and was directed to a locker room where he could change into a gym uniform. It was blue in color with a white trim and the school logo over where his heart would be. It was quite comfortable and allowed him to move freely. Once he finished changing he headed over to a sort of orientation where they explained the assessment and how they would be ranked.
Like with gatecrashers who get ranked based off their strength the school used a similar system to determine which class a student would be placed in. The rankings went from F, being lowest, D the next lowest, going all the way up to X being the strongest; however the difference in strength going from one rank to the next was variable, especially among the higher ranks. The rule of thumb was that it took around five awakened of one rank lower to defeat one awakened who was ranked one stage higher. So it would take five E ranked awakened to defeat one D ranked awakened. This rule was only consistent among ranks F through D and grew more inconsistent the higher one was ranked, as the higher ranks were in their entire own realm of power.
There would be four main tests to determine a student's placement. The first was a simple test to determine one's ability. They were meant to use their ability to the absolute limit to determine the ability's level and also to determine what a student's ability was. If the ability wasn't flashy they would have to use evaluators to help show their ability.
The second test was a strength test, this was to determine one's strength that can be used in a combat experience. It was measured by having the student punch a target as hard as they can. It would then display a number and that would determine your score.
The third test was an agility course meant to test a student's agility and also their decision making, and the final test was a magic power assessment, using a special magic stone, when injected with magic energy it would display a value showing their magic strength.
The tests were taken in groups of five, and each student would take the tests sequentially. After all the students in the group finished their evaluation they'd receive their rankings and receive their class schedules.
Milo's group was called and he and four other students stepped into the training facility where the tests were set up. Milo was the 5th student in his group so he would be taking the tests last. Each of the students took their tests, abilities were encouraged during these tests so all of them tried to use their ability to improve their scores. The first student to go had a transformation skill that allowed them to enlarge parts of their body to a certain degree. It was nothing special and he received an E rank. After receiving his rank it appeared on the screen of his holo for other students to see.
The second rank student did slightly better with a ranking of D. Among the last two students before Milo, the highest rank was a C rank. Their ability involved using crystals that they could summon from inside them. Due to the creative ways they used it, they avoided getting a low score. After all the other students were finished and had received their rank, it was finally Milo's turn to take the exam.
