CHAPTER 3
"My Lady?" Rebecca seems confused about what I meant.
My concentration got interrupted by the confusion and that beautiful aura color went out slowly. As for my condition, it seems my stamina got drained very fast.

"...…"
".....uh, I'll fetch some food for you, my Lady" Rebecca got up from her seat and went outside.
I totally forgot how long have I been sitting here, from the looks of it, my surroundings is somehow dark already.
Whoops, I remember that we started doing kinds of stuff in the early morning, from physical training then aura concentration in the afternoon. Man, I got a lot of stuff to do, and it's very tiring.
Looks like I am going to do this for a very long time, this is not a joke. Reading books, running, sword training, meditating, planning, etc.
After a few minutes, as I was currently thinking about something, Rebecca went in dragging a food trolley, but before eating, I let her prepare a warm bath to help me remove my exhaustion due to training all day.
As I entered the room, I saw Rebecca preparing and warming up my favorite tea, she was also done putting up together the plates and my food. As I sat down, I was amazed at how did she manage to get all this luxurious food in front of me.
"Hmm, you are getting better every day, Rebecca. I admire your service." I said while taking a sip with my milky tea.
"I have my own ways, Lady Cadyssa. Glad that I have been in your side all this time." She replied.
"No, seriously, I appreciate the effortlessness you do despite the rumors around me. You aren't scared at all?" I have been testing her out ever since the first day she works under me, even though I already know that she is loyal.
"That is not true, madam. I don't believe such gossips, in whose mouths are only good for nothing." Rebecca smiled as she refilled my tea.
"I am forever grateful to you, Rebecca. I must say, I felt your aura while I was in the middle of concentrating, you have a talent in magic." Man, not gonna lie, she really has talent, though she's been using it for evil schemes when the owner of this body ordered her for doing such plans against the female lead in the story.
"My lady? Ho-h-how do you know?" She didn't know that I have been watching her ever since.
"You have been observing me since my first training, the look in your face, you are amazed by how I managed to get through all of this?" I said that as I slowly stood up and walk towards her.
"So, Rebecca, how old are you now? Are you also shocked that this 5-year-old girl seems to be matured by the way I'm talking to you right now?" I slowly approached her and caress her cute curly hair.
"My lady, I am already 8 years old, one of the youngest maids in the Bloodhound mansion. And yes, your age today should not be like this if you compare it to other noble children. I knew it the moment that you are a genius in this era." She bowed down as she mentioned that vague name. Ugh.
Imagine, a 18 years old soul into a 5 years old body in this time, of course, you'll get questioned by my own mentality and maturity. we
"I see. Thank you for your compliment, Rebecca." I smiled at her again and went back to my chair and continue eating my dinner.
"—But I hate it when Duke Lester and little Duke Nestor neglected you, it's like they have missed your early childhood, until now. It's like you died and never exist—" She suddenly stopped and covered her own mouth as she realized that it was already out of the topic.

The young maid got surprised by what she saw today, the lady laughed? This is new to her ever since her first day working, the lady is slowly showing her true feelings with her only, unlike the other maids, she feels disgusted and disappointed whenever they are trying to approach and wanted to get the lady's attention after what happened to the previous maid.
"It's okay, Rebecca, you got angry on behalf of me. I'm full by the way, go clean this up and take a rest, we have things to do as usual."
"Ye-Yes, Lady Cadyssa, my apologies," Rebecca replied and removed the plates and other leftover food back to the food trolley.
While waiting for my food to get digested, I went straight to the balcony to see the view outside. The moon looks so amazing, it's making me calm and peaceful every time especially how quiet the place is what.
As Rebecca was about to get out, I called her out to tell her the exciting news, she stopped and wait for my command.
"Yes, my lady?" She asked.
"Would you like to train with me?"

The next morning, I heard the knock on the door. Ugh, what now? It is too early! All I know is that it is my resting day for all my hard work. The maids went in the room and started cleaning up. Rebecca entered last and went straight to the entrance of the balcony. She slowly opened the curtain and the room itself filled with sunlight.
"My lady, it is time to wake up, breakfast will be served any time soon. Do you want the usual food you wanted with some tea as well?" She was waiting for me to get up, but my body won't let me.
"U-ugh, just five more minutes, Rebecca." I said while trying to cover up my head with the blanket because of the sunlight that went to my eyes.
"Lady Cadyssa, you have to. After breakfast, you need to proceed to the library for your study, remember? Did you stay up late night again? No wonder there are some books around you." She pouted as she looked around seeing lots of scattered papers and leftover snacks.
"Yes, I just can't missed out a single information needed for my training, out of curiosity as well." I replied while scratching my left eye.
"You can't keep this up all the time, my lady. You have to focus on your health as well. Let me know next time if you are doing this again." She spurted.
"All right, Rebecca. Jeez." I slowly got up and went straight to the bathroom preparing for my morning routine.
After I asked Rebecca about last night, I saw tears in her eyes as she was filled with joy that I invited her to train with me, she immediately said yes so that is why we will start training together after 3 days. I even tell her to request some training clothes for her as well.
For today, I'll just have to read books in the library as usual. I need to learn more about controlling magic, having 4 attributes is hard, even for this child's body. I have to know more about the history as well if there are some users that have more than 2- 3 attributes.
As I was about to walk, I saw the glimpse of the Duke and his son down the entrance lobby of the mansion, it seems that they have a guest today, no wonder the other maids are all flustered fixing and preparing stuff.
I was about to continue walking when suddenly I felt someone was watching me from afar. When I turned around, I saw little Duke Nestor looking at me with a sad and miserable face, from the looks of it, he is different from the usual annoyed, displeased, and disappointed look.
One thing for sure is that from the last time we faced together was a few months ago, when we met in the hallway, from the moment on he tried to approach me and wanted to say something, but I ignored him as he was very annoying, I remember what he did before, how can I forget about that.
Duke Lester noticed his glanced from afar and called him out, he didn't know that Nestor was looking at Cadyssa all along. I suddenly run and hide when he was about to turn this way, tsk.
"My Lady, we need to go before the Duke notices us, what about the little Duke?" Rebecca interrupted.
"Let him be, he is nothing," I replied while walking towards the door of the library.
As I was searching for the historical records of the Empire, there are some users that can only manage to have 2 attributes, there are 5 that were listed. One of them was my mother, Duchess Naomi, other than water, she also has an attribute of wind.
The other one has an attribute of Fire/Wind, was the former Emperor of the Adamante Empire, the grandfather of the Crown Prince.
Next is the retired witch of the west, Aralis Mountaine, she has an attribute of earth and water, no news for her ever since retirement from the Royal Academy as a teacher/professor.
One person has an attribute of Holy and Water, currently, he is the Pope in Holy Divine Temple, found in the Imperium Empire, one of the region countries in the south aside from Adamante, which is from the north, where they say that a God brought land into life and send numerous miracles there.
Lastly, there is one person that has an attribute of Ice and Dark, but it seems that the name here got blurred for no reason. Shit, I don't know if this was from this Empire or not, because it has Dark magic, maybe from one of the revived families after the holy war?
I closed the book and reached out to the next one since I don't have any clue anymore about that last person, so it seems that I am the only one who has 4 attributes so far.
Water, wind, lightning, and…Ice, yes, this body can control these elements, but for some reason, I have other unknown auras that I can't feel much, somehow one of these attributes has some dark shit mixed around them, maybe because I am still young? Well, whatever, let's continue studying.
In the next few days, Rebecca and I went to the nearby forest to start our long-waited training, she wore the clothes that I requested beforehand. From the looks of it, she is very excited about what are we going to do, as I remember my first-time training, we start by running around followed by sword training, then magic controlling, these continues on day by day, night by night, from sunny to winter, fall to autumn, days to weeks, weeks to months, months turned to years.
While training within this past few months, I ask Rebecca where are the lowly magical beast's location, as we should not be relying on training dummies anymore, we wanted to try something fun and exciting. She has this map and spotted something near here that has lots of monsters lurking around, it seems that some of this is barely found by the knights while patrolling and scouting around the territory.
"This seems fun, let's go hunting, Rebecca," I answered
"My Lady, are you sure we can do this?" Rebecca asked as she was very unsure of my plan.
"You know we need to level up our training, we better go and kill the magical beasts. I want to try something out of ordinary."
"Of course, Lady Cadyssa, we have been training for so long. I wanted to test out my earth skill anyway"
"Let's go before we get spotted by the knights around since they can't just go outside the border. I know a way how to dispel a barrier without anyone noticing"
"Yes, my lady. I'll follow your lead." She replied.
Actually, we have been running around the territory while training, hoping to find some spot and prevent them from getting us detected, we found an area filled with intermediate-level magical beasts at the far most south, 3km away from the Bloodhound territory. From the looks of it, they somehow manage to evolve since they were hiding in that area for too long and no one oversees the situation here.
Good, I instruct Rebecca to back out since I will make the first move. Rebecca didn't allow it at first but as she saw my determination and resolution, she has no choice but to follow it. She climbed up the tree and watched my every movement.
The magical beasts seem to feel my aura presence and went on a defensive move, as I walk slowly towards them, I drew my special sword and released my wind aura and channeling them to my weapon. Every time I move, you can feel the gust of wind around me, which helps to boost my movements. The magical beast evades as I approached them using my wind blade magic, marking the ground as "X".
Rebecca whistled as she was observing the lady. She wanted to help her but suddenly remembered that she is not allowed to interfere unless I say so.
Hmm, I should enhance my moves, the magical beast is sure quick and has some intelligence when it comes to fighting, they sure know how to evade this fast, huh?
As I was started to think of that, I immediately shift my wind aura and replaced it with water, while I was at it, the magical beast suddenly runs towards me and shows his dangerous claws, trying to slice me up. I glanced at their movements and managed to transfer my wind aura into my feet, increasing my speed and my momentum, I successfully evade their attack.
Rebecca on the other hand tried to get far from the fight, every time I managed to hit the beast, the aura she felt was strong that the tree she stepped on was destroyed, so she has no choice but to avoid it and went to another tree that is safe,
After exchanging attacks, I suddenly think of an idea since the magical beasts have a specialty in speed.
"Enough, I am tired of playing anymore" I blurted.
I concentrate on my sword and think of water flowing around me, just when I was about to realize something, water suddenly burst out from the ground and trapped the beasts inside, forming a cube, as expected on what was on my mind. I smirked as I thought of a crazy move that will end things for sure.
"Roast to death, beast" I blankly stare at them.
As I reached out my hand, the clouds were formed and it gets darker immediately, suddenly a light from above shows up and a burst of lightning appeared in the sky and struck the beast, killing them instantly.
Rebecca saw this and was shocked at what is happening, she went down the tree and run towards me.
"MY LADY?! ARE YOU ALRIGHT?"
"I'm good, man, that was fun."
"Huh?"
"What? It's not harder as we think, we should do this more often, are you done scouting the area? I sense their presence around 1km from here" I stated.
"Y-yes, my lady" She responds.
"Good, now off we go, we have more time to kill, hurry" I dragged her towards the location where the other beasts are.
After a few hours of hunting, we managed to kill all of the magical beasts, I must say, Rebecca learns quickly and it is easy for her to understand what I instructed her to do, so it is easy to finish the training within the day. We have a lot of wounds to patch up once we got back and it's getting dark as well, the maids back there will notice that we are gone for too long if we didn't come back on time.
We continue this and 2 years have passed and we totally cleared all of the magical beasts near the territory. I am already 7 years old and can now control my attributes very easily. Just as when we are about to return to my room, I saw a figure of a young boy walking towards me. Tsk, what a stroke of bad timing I have.
"CADYSSA, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN AT THIS HOUR?" Little Duke shouted and saw my state.
"Hmm, why does it bother you, sir little Duke?" I replied.
"TSK, FATHER IS CALLING YOU! PROCEED TO HIS OFFICE IMMEDIATELY"
"Can you not shout? My ears hurt badly" I said as he was getting annoying. We are only just a few steps away from each other.
"I am not done with you, Cadyssa. WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? He caught my left arm as he notice my bruise on it.
"Remove my hand this instant, I have no time for you" I glared at him as he was holding my arm very badly.
"Do you want the Duke to get angry at you once he notices that we are late? LET GO, YOU'RE HURTING ME, NESTOR" I interrupted as he was about to say something.
"Bu-But, Cadyssa…. I…." He said nervously and slowly remove his hand.
I immediately removed my hand from his grasp, I didn't mind Nestor, and walked towards my room. I instruct Rebecca to prepare my dress for meeting up with the Duke. I chose the peach-colored nightdress with a little flowery design. What? Do you think I will wear a formal dress just to amuse them? I am getting sleepy and bored after the training the whole day, and I have no space for some bullshit.
As I was getting near the office, I looked at Rebecca and asked her what she thinks of my dress tonight, she just shrugs and showed her "okay" sign at me. I just shrugged her back as a reply and walk towards the door and knock on it three times, when I hear the voice of that annoying guy, I entered the room and bowed with respect, not.
"Good evening Duke Lester and Little Duke, may I know the reason why I was called at this time?" I just stood there looking at them with no expression.
"You have been selected as one of the candidates for the Crown Princess," He said confidently.
The time has come, now, unto the next plan….
