It was the time of the year where the palace festivities bloomed and the late winter had ended, bringing in the spring time of the year where servants would be brought before the King to give an account for the year that they had been working for the King, and discuss potentially obtaining their freedoms a little earlier, than the Jubilee year.
One by one, the servants went in to the throne room before the King to state their case and why they believed they should be granted their freedoms early.
Finally, it was Maia's turn to go in before the King.
"Good morning, miss Maia" he smiled at her. "My lord, many blessings to you this fine day" she said kindly as she bowed formally before the King.
