Neirin smiled at Rowan as if she hasn't said anything that would dampen his pride.
Rowan gapped trying his best not to scowl and remind himself about his manners for the person in front of him was not any noble daughter but a noble itself. Moreover, she was the duchess which holds the second highest position in the empire besides the royal family.
The servants who were attending the mother and child acted like they were deaf and they didn't hear the conversation that was going on. It was the same for Roxanna who cautiously looked around and reprimand her servants through her looks.
"What?" Rowan uttered in disbelief.
Neirin shrugged. "I already gave you the money. I am thankful that you stayed and help me with those knights and that magician, but now, since this is a private matter, any outsiders aren't allowed."
