It was late at night and Mei Yamada was exiting her company building. She worked at XXX company which was a marketing company. After leaving the building she took her phone out of her purse and went on a light novel website to read her favorite novel 'The saintess loves again'. Last night the final chapter had been published and Mei couldn't help being so excited that she couldn't even wait until she got home to read it.
While on her phone Mei was so excited to read the novel she didn't see the large truck until it was too late. The blurred image of the truck was the last thing Mei saw before utter darkness filled her eyes. When she opened her eyes she saw that she was in an unfamiliar place. 'Where am I' Mei thought to herself.
A few seconds after she gained consciousness the door to the strange room opened and a young girl with brown hair dressed in a maid outfit came into the room. "Who are you?" Mei asked confused about what was going on. "Oh! Young lady, you've finally woken up I am so happy will you wait a minute let me go and tell the duke and duchess!" The girl said excitedly before running out of the room. As the door slammed and the young girl left Mei's head started to hurt intensely and then a rush of unknown memories rushed into her brain.
When the pain had faded Mei realized that she wasn't in her own body anymore. The memories that she had seen and felt were from the villainess of her favorite novel 'The saintess loves again' Stella Albion who was killed by the male lead of the novel. 'What is going on, there's no way I'm in 'the Saintess loves again' I must be dreaming!' She thought to herself in disbelief as she looked down at her shaking hands.
As Stella was struggling to try to get off the bed the door burst open and in front of the maid was a man and a woman who she recognized as Stella's parents from her memories. They rushed over to her bedside and began looking up and down at her with a worried gaze. Count Albion of the Raina Kingdom who was also Stella's father was the first one to speak. "How are you feeling, you had no idea how we were when you suddenly collapsed." He said worriedly before pulling her in for a very gentle hug. Stella was shocked by his abrupt hug but unconsciously started hugging him back.
"What happened to me." She asked after regaining from her earlier shock. "You were in your history class when you suddenly collapsed even the doctors couldn't understand what was wrong with you." Countess Albion Stella's mother answered after sitting down on the edge of the bed and urging her daughter to lie back down which Mei had no choice but to do. "How are you feeling, do you need us to call the doctor?" Count Albion said looking at his daughter as if she was a doll ready to break at any moment.
"I feel fine I just need some rest." She said hoping to fool them into leaving. "If you're sure we'll go, but if you feel unwell at any time your maid is right outside, okay." The duchess said while letting go of her daughter and standing up. "Okay, don't worry I'll be fine." She said before smiling at them. They looked at her one more time before quietly leaving her room.
When they closed the door she waited a few seconds before slowly getting off the bed and carefully walked towards the mirror as her body was quite weak. When Stella looked in the mirror she saw a young girl with white hair blue eyes, a sharp jawline, a beautiful face, and fair skin. Even though a large part of her already knew that she was in Stella's body seeing it in person was terrifying. She weakly pinched herself before falling to the ground in utter despair. She couldn't believe it she had died and reincarnated into the body of Stella Albion the villainess of her favorite novel.
Mei was reading the ending and knew what was going to happen Stella had died cruelly at the hands of the male lead at the end. Most of all she couldn't believe her life was over after working so hard in school to get a good job and tolerating those stupid sexist jerks and slowly climbing up the ranks at her job. For all of the hard work to just disappear she was so angry.
Angry at her past self for not having enough time to enjoy her high pay and not relaxing enough. Angry at the truck driver who crashed into her she was also angry at herself for not watching the road instead of some stupid novel. But most importantly she was angry at God for placing her in this novel as Stella freaking Albion the villainess who had a horrible death.
After she fell so did her tears and as much as she wanted to stop crying she just couldn't. An hour later Stella was done crying instead of freaking out she knew that no matter what she had to survive. Unlike normal novels' the saintness loves again' is different.
The female lead was in an abusive relationship before discovering that she was the saintess in the prophecies and the crown prince sent her and the male lead on a series of adventures where they fall in love. Coming to the end of the novel they kill the demon king and when they return home to realize that Stella was working with the demon king and was born with demonic powers.
They then told the crown prince and he tries to exploit Stella for her powers. When they discovered this, they dethroned the crown prince and the male lead and female lead became emperor and empress. As for Stella, she was locked up in the dungeon and after her family finds out that she was born with demonic powers they abandon her a while after the male lead forcefully takes out her powers and then kills her.
Recalling how the story had ended and Stella's painful death sent shivers down her spine. 'Even if I avoid or try to get along with the mc once they figure out I have demonic powers they'll probably try to kill me' Stella thought to herself. She carefully walked back to her bed and sat gently on it. Stella wondered at what point she was in the novel as she relaxed on the bed.
While thinking about what to do to survive Stella didn't notice her tiredness and soon fell asleep. She soon opened her eyes and saw that her arms and legs were chained to a wall. She then looked around for answers and saw that she was in a small, dark, and dirty cell. Soon after Stella began to worry and pulled on her chains and started to yell for help. Then a tall mysterious man came into the cell. When he got closer she could then see that it was the male lead from his red eyes and hair and engraved sword he held.
As he got closer he then began to say coldly "Are you ready for a world of pain." Before she had time to answer he had already begun to force her magic core out of her body and Stella started to scream in pain as he started the process. Even though mere minutes had passed it had felt like days to Stella. Even as he had finally finished pulling her out of her core it still felt as painful as when he was pulling it.
The male lead then wiped the blood off her core and walked closer to her and pulled back her hair out of her face. She knew that her face probably looked awful but right now she couldn't care less. He brought his face closer to hers and put her core close to his eyes and slowly crushed her core. Though her powers were a curse to her as she saw him crush her core she felt her heart tighten and felt like crying.
"This is your punishment for all of your wicked deeds." He said. Stella endured his torture without crying but as soon as he said this she felt herself growing angrier. Before she even knew what she was doing she began to curse and sneer at him. "My wicked deeds, you bastard I hope you die a horrible death and I hope I can see it happen!" She cursed and when she was done she saw that he was smiling.
"I hoped you would say that." He said as smirked and before she knew it her slowly plunged his sword that he used to defeat the demon king into her stomach. The last thing she saw before complete darkness was his cold eyes looking down at her.
"Hah!" Stella screamed as she jumped up from the bed. As she looked around she saw her room and realized that it was just a dream. But the longer she was awake the more she realized that it was way too realistic to be a dream. 'Could it possibly be the original Stella's memory of what happened' She thought?
Stella then began thinking that when the author put that 'He quickly pulled out her demonic core and soon after he thrust his sword into her stomach was not enough to describe the pain I had felt. After that memory, Stella was now certain that no matter what she had to avoid that ending at all cost.
As she got up off the bed and looked at her room she could see that it was now morning. She also saw that the room was humongous and filled with very expensive things. Stella sighed when looking at the room which was now hers. 'If only I wasn't reborn as Stella I might have liked my new life. Being rich, having a big room, and having loving parents.'
While thinking about how good her life would have been she heard a knock on her door and politely said 'come on in'. "Good morning young lady I have brought you your breakfast." The maid from yesterday named Emily said cheerfully. Stella cautiously walked towards her at the room dining table and sat down. Emily then put down the plates before bowing and walking to the side of the room.
As she saw it she had to stop her mouth from drooling. It was a five-course meal and there was also a cup of fresh tea that smelled a lot like chamomile. "Is th-this all for me?" She asked hesitantly. "Of course, young lady do you not like it, I can ask the head chef to make you something else if you want," Emily said. Stella watched her in amazement before replying "That's ok." Before turning back to her food.
Stella was very hungry so she decided to use Stella's status for her benefit. She smiled just before starting to eat. While eating she saw that Emily was fidgeting like something was wrong. So she momentarily stopped eating and asked what was wrong. "I'm sorry to bother you but I need to let you know that the Grand Duke is down in the dining room." Emily said. When Stella heard that the Grand Duke was in the mansion she lost her appetite. Grand Duke Aster was Stella's fiance, her only love, the male lead, and the one who cruelly killed her.
