"Weren't you cultivating?", she asked.
"I was, but now I'm not. How are you feeling?", Leo asked, brushing off the topic of his cultivation.
"I'm… okay. Thank you.", Xiao Xue mumbled, trying her best to not bring up the situation just now.
She held in her anger from lashing out at Leo and tried to forget that.
She was a beast, much older than Leo, so she could forget that easily.
'I'll bring it up next time…', she thought to herself.
She then stared at Leo for a few seconds. The silence was awkward.
Leo too kept staring at her finally after which, he stood up and walked close to her.
"Can I ask you a question?", Leo asked Xiao Xue hesitantly.
He could see the annoyance on her face, so he thought she wouldn't like to answer his questions.
However, Xiao Xue replaced the scary expression with a warm smile instead.
The pace at which the expressions changed was a bit scary. One would start to think that she is just faking a smile or something similar to this.
