Both his followers decided to follow Fred and did not dare to question any of his instructions anymore.

Fred did the same thing over and over again without fail. This time, Fred did not care about the actual value of their item. It could have been the least valuable item, Fred would have still insisted that he saw it first.
After the 5th time, Leo grew frustrated. He thought Fred was being childish at first, but as time passed, Leo realized Fred was doing this on purpose, trying to annoy him.
During the 4th time giving in to Fred, Leo knew he would not do the same again if Fred insisted for the 5th time.
"Fred, why are you doing this?", Leo confronted Fred.
"I don't know what you mean… I saw this item first. I want it!", Fred replied nonchalantly.
