The two Supreme Overlords continued to clash in the sky. The shockwaves that were emitted because of the attacks were more than enough to blow away the shelter of many houses.
Many trees were knocked down and much more collateral damage occurred. Regardless, everyone stayed inside their houses.
The village, Beastatown, was part of the Sun Empire and was situated far from the cities. It had only a few buildings with walls – an example was the orphanage which was barely hanging.
The people here were super poor, they couldn't even afford one meal a day. Also, since the village was located near the forest, they were constantly in danger and never knew when their lives would be lost.
There were a total of four Empires that ruled the entire continent: Stone, Azure, Moon, and Sun.
All of them were equally powerful due to which the power balance was maintained.
The Supreme Overlords that were battling right now were from the Stone and Azure empires. They slowly got drifted towards the border of the Sun Empire where the Beastatown was present.
The people could feel the unnatural and overwhelming aura and instantly knew that two Supreme Overlords were fighting.
Because of that, the Mayor of the village instructed everyone to remain inside their houses.
*Boom*
*Bam*
*Boom*
Continuous sounds of explosions could be heard which kept on generating tons of shock waves.
Leo and other kids walked close to the windows and stared at the dark sky where some flashes of lights could be seen.
"I want to be as strong as them, one day!", said a boy among the group.
"Me too!", the little girl too joined.
But Leo didn't utter a single word. Even without saying, his determination was absolute.
The lady then soon asked the children to sleep as it was late in the night. They did as they were told and soon slept.
By the time they woke up, the battle was over, however, they were able to see the aftermath.
Some of the houses were destroyed because of the strong gust of wind that blew. Also, many cattle had run away after breaking their leash.
*yawns*
Leo woke up and walked out only to find all these devastations.
'Wow, the supreme overlords are definitely the strongest ones right now.'
'Just look at the destruction caused because of those shockwaves.'
'If they had thought about attacking this village, then it would have ceased to exist with just a single attack.', Leo broke a sweat as he thought this.
All the children walked out to play. They too looked at what had happened but didn't mind much.
They thought that this was a result of the storm, after all, it was quite common.
Nevertheless, they were too young to understand what was going on.
Regardless, Leo and others got ready as Leko returned.
He had gone to another city to call the Analysers. He wanted someone from his orphanage to have a good beast soul.
That way, the orphanage could earn some money as a reward for raising future Beast Masters.
"Alright kids, quickly finish your breakfast."
"We have a lot of work to do!", he said.
'Looks like he didn't sleep throughout the night, yesterday.', Leo thought as he looked at the dark circles under his eyes.
Well, Leko was actually a hard-working person who always thought about the kids. He started the orphanage despite many obstacles for the kids who were being abandoned now and then.
Yes, those poor farmers or beggars couldn't afford to feed their children. They would often abandon their kids in the forests so that the beasts would end up eating them – more than 1000 children have died this way in this village specifically.
He couldn't bear to hear all this when he arrived in the village and thus decided to open an orphanage.
Yes, the children right now were the first batch and Leo was the first kid who was abandoned in front of the orphanage's main door.
"Alright, father!", the children said.
Leko had asked them to call him father from their childhood and since it had become a habit, none of them hesitated in saying that.
All of them quickly gobbled up every last bite of the breakfast which was nothing but some steamed potatoes and rushed to wear some nice clothes.
When the term nice clothes were mentioned – it meant, clothes that weren't torn. Yes, they were old clothes, those that poor people would wear, but they weren't torn nor were there any holes – these were new clothes for the kids.
The orphanage was poor so there was nothing that they could do.
Leo too wore an old cloth – white inners and red shirt with black pants.
The shirt didn't have buttons so it hung loosely with his white vest was seen.
Regardless, he walked comfortably.
Leko then soon asked the children to form a line and follow him.
They were quite excited because every one of them wanted to be a Beast Cultivator. Finally, they were going to awaken their Beast Souls and as soon as they would do that, they would gain their first skill!
A camp was set near the forest where two to three analyzers were present.
Analyzers – the people who analyze the beast soul of a person and keep a record of it.
It is thanks to these people that the wide variety of list of different Beast Souls has been recorded and stored in the Royal Library of every Empire.
Soon all of them arrived at the camp.
The analyzers gave a look of disgust when they saw the children.
"These poor beggars want to get analyzed.", said one of them who was standing at the back.
The two others controlled their laugh and greeted Leko.
"Sir Leko, because of your request, we came here."
"However, I don't think there would be any potential Best Cultivators found in some boonies.", the analyzer was blunt and direct.
He didn't want to waste his time so he thought about rejecting them even before analysis.
"Ah, please."
"Let them at least try.", Leko requested.
He thought for a second and after looking at the other two, said, "Alright then."
"Children, come and stand here.", the analyser who agreed, asked the children to come forward.
And the kids did as they were asked. They made a line with girls first and then the boys with Leo standing at the last.
