My ears rang after all the shouting, but the Ministers' gazes were all upon my husband.

I sat on my throne to his left, keeping my expression blank as I looked at the men in attendance.
They had all nearly caused a riot when Zheng had made the announcement to allow the Empress to sit in on all Assembly sessions. He evidently didn't care, for he made sure that I sat on his left on his long dragon seat.
