"4th Sister!" "4th Aunt!"
As I stepped into Han Manor, Feng Mian and Yao Xun bounded out of the Hu Yue Ge, racing each other to get to the entrance first.
"San Ge," I greeted with a curtsy, but Feng Mian tugged me into his arms. I stiffened, shocked as he embraced me.
"Feng Mian!" Er Ge's voice rang out across the courtyard. As though shocked by the sound, he released me. He rubbed his nose, coughing as he turned around.
I turned to look at Zheng, who was staring at my adoptive brother without an expression. Yi Liang had pushed him to my side. I could feel hostility exuding from him.
My chest turned cold. Bending down on Zheng's left, I put my hand on his wheelchair handle.
"Yao Xun! Come meet your 4th Uncle," I said, a little too enthusiastic. My nephew paused in his tracks, his small face showing uncertainty. I nodded in encouragement as he clutched at his robes.
When Yao Xun turned to look at my husband, his face crumpled and he began to cry.
