Zong Shen after a long time interested to have a chat with someone other than work so he waited patiently but the young boy didn't show up. just as he was about to lose his temper, he saw the boy walk in with a meal tray.
"I asked you to bring snacks and you brought a meal what took you so long" Zong Shen snapped at the young boy
the kid got nervous listening to his voice but when he didn't feel any uncomfortable emotion from Zong Shen, he turned to him blushing and fidgeting
Zong Shen got annoyed at his actions and was about to scold him the young boy beat him to it,
"Master, I encountered a fairy in the dust she is too cute has big eyes, so pretty"
Zong Shen's hand slipped at his words he looked at him raising an eyebrow, seeing his master looking at him the young boy thought he is waiting for him to continue
"she was looking at the snacks in my hands eagerly and her stomach growled then she blushed master you won't believe I heard my heart beating loudly, I invited her to my room to let her clean herself but she refused saying her aunt will get flustered at her missing but she still looked at the sweets hungrily, so as a good-hearted young man I gave the sweets to her and she ran off I wanted to chase her but I remembered you thought you would be hungry (sigh) so I went kitchen back to the kitchen to bring you meal"
good-hearted huh!!!
and you gave the snacks which you should bring to me your master instead gave them to the girl!!!
what the heck are you sighing for!!!
Zong Shen roared internally and controlled himself not to be petty with this kid so waved him to move closer, the young boy moved closer with twinkling eyes.
*bang*slap*
Zong Shen knocked him on the head with a fist and then slapped the back of his head
"Next time you want to offer something, choose something yours, not mine also you should not invite a girl to your room in the first meeting, that girl likely would have said to her aunt see if her aunt allows her to meet you again"
The young boy caught his head teary-eyed and turned to Zong Shen, he got stunned when he heard that he can't meet her again his tears stopped his face in shock while his hands caught his head.
Zong Shen smiled in satisfaction with his reaction he took a sip of the water from the prepared glass but spurted out when he heard the young boy's words
"It's okay Master even her aunt forbids her she will be staying in this place anyway I can just dispatch the kids whom I know saying she is a thief who stole your snacks everyone will try to search her then I will get to know the place she is staying and also her name"
Saying this he fisted his hands in determination while smiling wickedly at Zong Shen.
Coughing Zong Shen widens his eyes in surprise he didn't take this kid to be a black belly, he coughed in embarrassment recalling his earlier words he lifted his fist and gave him a hard punch on his head
"Master you will break my head at this rate" the young boy protested
"ohh I don't think so that skull and skin of yours are thicker than any I know" Zong Shen smirked at him while handing the extra chopsticks to him
the young boy took the chopsticks and patiently waited for his master to point at the food to serve. Zong Shen looked at his posture and smiled a little shaking his head
"I gave you chopsticks to eat with me not to serve me I have hands I can eat myself" the young boy widen his eyes in surprise and contemplated whether to eat or not
seeing his hesitation Zong Shen asked him a question "the girl you saw earlier is she taller than you?"
The young boy was confused at his words and thought for a while before hurriedly nodding his head. Zong Shen eating casually nodded his head and spoke
"won't you fall behind in chasing if you are not even the same height as her"
the young boy opened his mouth but didn't speak he became teary and looked at Zong Shen pitifully
"If you eat well, you can grow tall so why don't you eat with me " The young boy nodded his head and hesitated for a while, and then started eating, when they both completed eating Zong Shen turned towards the young boy and the medicine he had to take,
he slowly pushed his medicine towards the boy and said as a matter of fact
"If you drink this you become tall in a week"
the young boy squinted his eyes at Zong Shen "Master you're not supposed to play with medicine"
Zong Shen freezed and looked at the young boy in annoyance how did this brat find out?
"I am the one who concocted your medicine with the help of the doctor in the pavilion"
