Chapter 19 - A Proper Magic

"Where is the strange tree from before?" Bvan thoroughly looked around the woods.

He didn't need that long of a time to find the tree that he was searching for, it was the only one that looked different in the woods, and it was a tree that looks like a banyan where the Alev knife got stuck in the top of the tree.

He flew approaching the tree searching for the knife, he saw a glimpse of light get reflected and sure he knew if that was the knife he was looking for, then he flew into it.

He doesn't realize if the tree is quite high from another tree nearby until he reaches the top of it.

Click!

His body feels tingled as he feels the presence of magic in the woods getting more thicker, he looks around the woods from the sky, but he didn't get any idea why the amount of magic in this illusionary forest getting bigger and it feels strange as if it's a bit different from the magic he feels before.

He was still curious to search what caused the presence of the magic to get suddenly denser, but he held it, because he knew he had urgent matters to give the knife to Alev. He continued taking the knife and flew away, going back to them.

Bvan doesn't realize if there was a full moon behind, but the moon is not really bright enough to light up a night as it normally does because it wasn't actually a moon. It was an eye that was looks like the moon, and it was curiously looking at what he was doing.

Another eye opened and thoroughly looked at Bvan who flew away. That eyes were clearly from something bigger in the woods, which are still invisibly hiding its presence from them.

Going back to Alev and Tina. They are still running away from the monster, who is still chasing them. The monster is on a rampage as it breaks away from any nearby trees that are getting in its way, and the monster looks getting more annoyed when it sees Alev, who runs very swiftly avoiding any of the roots that got to catch him, and making the monster throw a tree into him.

"Aaaaa!" Tina screams intensely, "It throws a tree! Alev, duck!" She pointed toward it.

"What? A duck? Don't scream around near my ear like that, I can't clearly hear what you said!" Alev responded as he felt an ache in his ear.

"Not that duck! Look at your back!" She said while forcibly grabbing Alev's cheeks and turning his head to look back.

In mere a sec Alev looked back, he looked at the tree with eyes wide open as it was just 2 meters away from them, he quickly went duck and avoided getting struck by it, the tree flew over in his head as if it was just his hair who was getting hit by the tree.

He looked at the tree getting struck into another tree in front of him, he sighed as he got relief, if he were struck by it, he knew that it was going to hit pretty badly for his body.

"That was a close call!" He mumbled, and for a moment he looked back again.

But it just does not stop there, the monster is still getting in rage, and it is throwing more trees at them.

They both scream as they get shocked looking at more trees flying over to them. He realized that if it was very hard to avoid many trees coming into them at the same time like that, there was no gap for him to evade.

He thought in his mind that his only chance is just to destroy it using the magic punch as he did before, but he felt doubt about what Bvan said earlier, if he was doing the wrong way to use his magic, it would only damage his body if he tried doing it again.

He wanted to do it, but he can't, he was thinking if it wastes if he can survive in this illusionary forest and get out but he has broken both of his arms, he didn't even know what await him later when he going into the city, maybe he will found the raids army or even the real bandit and getting kidnapped then going to be sold as a slave, going to be a slave is just a same as a dead-end in this world era.

He was wasting his time as his head was getting filled with his negative thoughts and the moment he awakened from his thought, he didn't have much time to avoid it as it was getting close to hitting them.

Slash!

They two covered their eyes when they saw a big fire was slashed and slicing through the trees easily into two like a knife through butter, the slash was so strong enough and even left a slash mark into the ground like it was going to split too and with a fire burning any grass nearby.

Not even that too, the slashed slightly reached the monster as it was getting a scratch with a fire burning in its wounded area and made the monster stop, eventually watching them with awareness.

"Fiuuh! That was a close call!" Bvan said while he swiped a sweat.

It was Bvan who did that ridiculous slash with just a hunting knife that Alev had before, and the person who knows that knife is still frozen as he was still shocked seeing the damage because of just one slash.

"Is he okay? Did the tree hit his head?" Bvan asked while he turned his gaze toward him.

Then followed by Tina poking him in the cheek, but he still didn't respond. "I think he was getting hit 'emotionally'." She then got off from him as she was getting creeped out because Alev was unresponsive. "Hello! Alev?"

Alev shook his head as he got back into reality, "is that the real magic?"

When he looked at it, he realized that what Bvan doing was something similar to what he did before, but it was a slight difference in effect as what Bvan did was more damaging and still left a burning fire in its trace and not just a mark as he did.

"Yes, it is. I know exactly what you're thinking right now as it is the same as you did before, but you eventually know this time why I told you if you're doing it wrong right?" Bvan said while curling up his lip and giving a smirk.

Bvan tried to tease him a little but surprisingly Alev didn't get a little hooked by his provocation, and Alev just obediently nodded agreeing with what he was saying.

That surprising response made Bvan sigh and stop teasing him even more, he then threw the knife to return at him.

"This is yours! I return it back as I am the one who makes you lose it. Do what you did once again before but try using that knife, you still can't perfectly control your magic flow, but at least if you make a mistake and just do a normal hit, hit it using that knife!" Bvan advised while averting his gaze toward him.

Alev's eyes sparkled when taking the knife back, he was getting moved by it because it was the only weapon he had, and eventually as a soldier, who doesn't get happy because of receiving his only knife back when on the battlefields.

"I don't know if you're a good fellow Bvan, thank you for receiving it back!" Alev exaggerated while he rubbed his cheek into him.

"Hey stop it! Your head is really getting hit by something you know, hey I said stop it!" Bvan shouted as he tried to get away from him.
