Valentina's Point of View
"I think Cion's judgment is unreasonable. He's the only one who doesn't like Valentina's output," Sajan ranted to his teammates, and they are nodding at him as they agree with him. Nikki sighed beside me so I poked her cheeks which made her glare at me, "It's fine. We could try our best in the booths, right?" I smiled at her, assuring her that 8 was not a 'biggy'.
Nikki was a perfectionist like I am, but she's easily disappointed when she does not get what she expects. I patted her head, and pulled her close, whispering something to her ear. "I think one of Sajan's teammates liked you," I commented as I turned her head at a man with curly hair, and green eyes, looking at Nikki. Nikki rolled her eyes, and she slapped my shoulder.
Nikki and I headed to the field, where we will gonna put up our stall. I wasn't shocked when I looked at the 'finished' stall with some glorious decorations, of course, from the KKK's. Kayline and Kendra smirked in our direction while flirting with their hired waiters. They both wear the newly released limited edition, blush pink Chanel mini shirt dress worn by Kylie Jenner. I looked at the baseball team, including Sajan, who walked in their direction. "Boys will be boys," I whispered and rolled my eyes.
"Hi," I heard Sajan greeting them. I tried to peek, so I directed my gaze at Nikki, trying to portray my sight at her. "Hi there, Sajan. I thought you were Valentina's minions," Sajan shake his head and smiled. I gritted my teeth, that's when Nikki hold both of my shoulders. "Chill, Val. Let them be. Let's focus on our booth," I nodded. Nikki's right. I don't want to ruin this for her, just like I am afraid they will steal Sajan away from me.

I was sitting in the gazebo in front of our classroom while waiting for Nikki who is running errands for our homeroom professor. I leaned my head on the table and groaned. "My head hurts! I won't stay up late tomorrow, just please remove my head." I prayed when someone behind me laughed.
I raised my head and saw a guy wearing a baseball uniform while eating Doritos. I glared at him, "Hey! You're not allowed to eat junk food, sports guy! Give me that!" I stand at the gazebo seat and grab it from his hand. I immediately sit when I feel that my head is pounding. I lay my head again on the table and tried to close my eyes.
Someone's fingers reached out to my temple and started massaging it. It made me calm until it made me feel sleepy. After a few minutes, a tap on the shoulder woke me up. I slowly raised my head and saw Nikki's eyes widen. "What?" I asked her with a raspy voice. Nikki's fingers were shaking while pointing at something. I saw someone sleeping on my lap, "What the hell?!" I shouted that woke him up.
"What the hell too?! Why are you shouting?" he asked, looking at me with sleepy eyes. I glared at him. "Why are you sleeping on my lap?" I asked him directly. He sighed and stood up. "I'm Sajan, and I am from the baseball team. I like you, Valentina. And my fingers ache since you don't want me to stop massaging your head," he explained, and Nikki and I are awed by the explanation he has.
"Woah, there. You're the team captain of the baseball team?" Nikki pointed at him. "Yes, yes I am," he smiled and looked at me. I raised my eyebrows and stood up. I yawned and retrieve my bag from the seat. "Let's go, Nikki." I looked at her and motioned her that both of us need to go since we're gonna continue with our planning in our booth.
"But we can tell them to be the waiters, Valentina," my eyes widened, and continuously shake my head. "That's not a good idea, Nikki. Besides, the baseball team is busy." I concluded. Sajan looked at me, so I raised my eyebrows while looking at me. "Who says?" he asked, staring at me.
"Who says we are busy? Are you hiring for waiters?" Nikki continuously nodded while looking at me, and I shake my head a couple of times. "Are the baseball team hired? We have 15 players, we can divide ourselves into shifts. Also, some of us can be the staff." Sajan explained that made Nikki clap her hands. "Then, you're hired. Let's meet at Valentina's house tomorrow." Nikki gave out our address, while I was there standing, and can not believe she hired Sajan. Maybe, it's thanks too for helping me out with my migraine. Is that what you consider a gift of appreciation?
"We don't have that much money for your salary." I started off and lay my iPad on the table, and took a seat, looking at Sajan which made him seat beside me. Nikki smiled and took a seat. "We don't have that much money for waiters. We only need 4 or 5 in each shift." I wrote it down on paper and looked at both of them. "You don't need to pay. The baseball team doesn't need funds." I raised my eyebrows, there is no catch? I bet there is. I know Sajan, the ultimate captain of the baseball team. He's famous for being a jerk, somehow he's really rich. "What's the catch, Sajan?" I asked him directly.
"You, Valentina, and your friend should join the cheerleaders of the Business Department. We will be playing against the Engineering Department." I glared at him and looked at Nikki who is giving me a thumbs up. "When?" I dragged my planner out of my bag and looked at him. "On the 26th, the second day of the University Week," I sighed in disbelief when I was writing it in my planner. My week is packed and I don't have time to enjoy the University Week itself.
"Deal." Sajan reached out his hand. I reached out for his hand to shake it to seal off the deal.

When I was busily transferring some of the decorations outside the booth, I heard Sajan and the baseball team laughing out loud, "Didn't know cashiers have outfits." I stopped myself from laughing at what I heard from one of Sajan's teammates. "What the hell are you talking about?" I saw Kayline eyed the guy, so I remained hidden while silently peeking at them. "I mean, nice outfits, cashiers." Sajan walked towards our booth, followed by his teammates.
"What are you hiding there, Valentina? And Nikkita?" I look behind me and saw Nikkita, peeking as well. She smiled at me and scratched her head. "We are not peeking." I grabbed the clothes that I designed as our uniforms. It's a type of skate clothing that I think is the most comfortable one to wear. It's customized with the logo of our booth. "Wow," they awed in unison. "Did you make this?" I nodded and pointed at Nikkita.
"Nikki sew it and I designed it," I said while giving out the pair of clothes we made for them. I gave Sajan his clothes, and I looked at him, whose eyes are pinned on my existence. "What are you looking at, Sajan?" I frowned. "You are truly amazing, Valentina. Can I keep the clothes?" I nodded and continued giving out the clothes.
Several hours later, all of the groups in our class starts preparing for the lunchtime booth. Nikki and I started to put out the decorations that we prepared. Sajan and the baseball team arranged the tables and chairs outside the booth. I saw Clint and Cion, walking by the booths and talking to the students fixing their booths.
I entered our tent and find something to fix inside. I sighed and focused on the utensils inside our tent. "How are your preparations?" I heard Clint's voice asking someone, I peeked and saw it was Sajan pointing out the placements for the table. "So far so good," Sajan answered which made me chuckle. "How were your food critics earlier?" Clint asked and I saw Sajan, looking around the tent and saw Nikkita helping out with the snack table. "Nikki come here! He asked how was your food critic something!" Some of the baseball players laughed at Sajan and tried to tease him. "You just want to be intelligent in Valentina's eyes, Sajan." Clint's eyes starts to wander until it was set on me.
I went out of the tent and smiled. "Sorry, I was busy stacking the plates. Thank you, Sajan." I looked at Sajan and gave him a sweet smile. I saw his ears turn red and Sajan then tried to focus himself on the arrangements while some of his friends are teasing him.
"Hello, Mr. Clint. Can you repeat the question?" I looked at Clint and the smile on his face faded. "What's going on between you and Sajan?" I raised my eyebrows and remained looking at him. "I guess it is not appropriate to ask about my personal like, Mr. Clint." He sighed and looked at me. "I'm sorry. Do not mind what I've said." I nodded and excused myself.
What is wrong with them? At first, it was Cion? Now, Clint is throwing off such weird questions.
