Chapter 4 - Trapped in the Elevator

[Elvira's POV]

I wasn't sure how I became this bold, but I planned to expend all of the courage I had built up over the years.

His steps were really fast and I had to jog to keep up with him.

Soon, we were in an elevator. I glanced at the clock on the wall. It was 11:39 p.m. and I was turning eighteen in twenty-one minutes. I could hear my heart pounding loudly in my temples. The alcohol was making my heartbeat accelerate. My nervous state was surely also part of the reason for this. At the thought of the time I would soon spend with him, I immediately forgot my anxiety and was filled with anticipation.

I leaned against the elevator. I dearly needed some support and I didn't wish to collapse against him. I was worried he would think I was a frivolous woman who would follow anyone to a hotel.

His posture was upright and he appeared to have regained some of his rationality after leaving the dance floor. Still, he looked too calm. I noticed some creases on his well-ironed suit and a small amount of foundation from my skin. How wonderful. At least, I had left some traces of myself on him.

He stood there without speaking to me. I began to suspect he wouldn't do anything to me once we were upstairs. Or perhaps, he was waiting till we headed into his room. Perhaps he would show me a different side of himself. I was filled with anticipation. I had never felt such a deep longing for a man.

He had yet to ask me for my name. Perhaps he did not wish to know of it. He had to be used to such matters. This was just a one-night stand. There was no need to exchange names. He could even be gone when I woke up tomorrow morning. Would he leave a couple of hundred dollar bills on the nightstand?

He wouldn't care for an ordinary girl like me. After all, the suit he was wearing appeared expensive. I had also seen the rich second-generation heirs in my class with the same brand of watch he had on.

He had even attached delicate cufflinks to his sleeves. I had only seen people dress like him at film award ceremonies. He didn't appear to be a local from Vanita Town. The people here were too casual and too careless. I wanted to ask for his name, but I wondered if I would ruin the mood by doing so.

The elevator was still heading up. I wondered if I was hallucinating as the lights in the elevator flickered. I watched as he glanced upwards and confirmed that I hadn't been dreaming. The lights then went out, and the elevator immediately sunk down by half a metre.

"Ah!" I couldn't help but cry out. My hands reached out for him and I embraced his firm arm. I knew with one touch that he worked out frequently. He did not panic in the slightest and was very calm. As my eyes adjusted to the darkness, I saw that he was observing the situation. He did not rush to press the emergency rescue button and it was as though everything was under his control.

The darkness gave me another burst of courage and I tightened my grip around his arm. I then glanced up to see his reaction just as he looked down at me. Our eyes finally then met again.

Under the faint green light emitting from the emergency button, his lips were as seductive as ever. I licked my lips, which were a little dry from the alcohol. I then released his arm to embrace his neck as he leaned down towards me. His lips were moist, and his tongue pried my teeth apart overbearingly.

I felt as if he wasn't just kissing my lips but also my heart. It was as if a snake had appeared in my chest and was nibbling at it gently. It was so comfortable that it left my heart itching. The itchy sensation also grew between my legs.

I wished this place could remain dark forever. We would then be stuck here for the rest of our lives. We didn't need any help, we only needed each other. Even if the door had to be eventually pried open, we would still be deeply engaged in our kiss. I wish I could die kissing him.

However, soon, the lights returned. I heard a man's voice fill the space, "My apologies, my apologies."

I froze for a moment before I separated from him. Yes, this person needed to be sorry, not because the elevator had malfunctioned, but because he had fixed it too quickly and the elevator was running again.

He must have noticed that I wasn't done yet. He tugged me back and placed one hand on my waist, lifting my chin gently with his other hand.

He did not seem to care about the lights, or that the elevator could possibly stop on the next floor for someone else to come in. The thought excited and exhilarated me more than ever. I decided to ignore everything else and to prove my adulthood through my actions. I stood on my tiptoes and kissed him once more. I licked his soft upper lip lightly in an attempt to seduce him. He quickly responded and pressed me against the elevator wall.

"I…" My entire body was soft like a pile of mud. I had used all of my strength to say a single word.

He easily understood my intentions and chuckled teasingly, "Do you desire me?"
