I tilt my head as I heard them talking still in the living area. I have just showered, so I walked towards the entrance to look for something sweet. I saw a chocolate cake roll in the fridge. Did Mom buy this? I shrugged my shoulders and took the whole cake out, some small plates and a knife that I will use to slice it. I took a glance at them first before preparing. After that, I made an orange juice, my favorite flavor when it comes to this kind of drink.
We will be having a midnight talk I think, since I am certain Kaye will not go home yet at this time. It's already 10 o'clock, hours before we arrived here. They are already talking and until now they are not done yet. I just let them, Mom needs to unwind too.
"Here," I went near them with the tray in my hands and prepared the table for them.
"Oh, did you buy that cake honey?" Mom asked me which stopped me from moving and looked at her.
