Myra was suddenly conscious of her surroundings. She felt weak and tired. She opened her eyes and darted around her surroundings.
She wasn't in the room that Kevin gave her. Maybe she was dead. Maybe she was in heaven. But she remembered that Kevin got to her the moment she entered the water. Kevin saved her.
She tried to get up but groaned in the process. She felt a sharp pain coursing through her. Her throat felt patchy and sour.
She looked down at herself and realized that her attire had changed. Who the fuck changed her clothes?
She remembered that she was wet when she and Kevin came upstairs. He told her to get changed but Myra decided to lay back on the bed. She might have fallen asleep by then.
She managed to get up, though her stomach was still hurting so much. A headache set in suddenly.
Myra could suddenly scent him. She could scent Kevin anywhere and know without anyone telling her that it was Kevin's room.
