Kevin scooped her like a baby and took her inside the living room. They were both wet and water was dripping down from their bodies.
Myra had stopped crying. It was actually after she did that Kevin came out of the pool. He was just grateful that he came at the right time. If he was a minute late, Myra might have been gone and he would never have forgiven himself for it.
Kevin saw it as his fault. If he had taken Myra's word when she told him about the strangeness in the office. Perhaps, he would have found it out in time.
Well, he did try anyway, he was just too slow in his investigation.
"Are you alright?" He asked her as he smoothed her hair backward.
Myra looked up at him and nodded slowly. "Thank you. I'm fine now and I think I can dress up myself," she stood up immediately.
" I can help you dry your hair," Kevin offered as she went up the stairs.
