Yang Jie summoned his Ghost Rock Demon to suppress Chu Mu's Night Thunder Dream Beast's lightning skills. Lightning skills, like fire skills, had the most destructive power. If unchecked, beast-type soul pets could easily be injured.
However, Yang Jie had evidently underestimated Chu Mu's combat strategy. When Yang Jie summoned his Ghost Rock Demon, Chu Mu completely ignored it - a beast that looked somewhat clumsy - and concentrated all his attacks on the Western Armored Death Scorpion!
The Western Armored Death Scorpion also harbored some elements of darkness, although Yang Jie seemed to favour its insect-related abilities. Yet, its dark element was essentially ineffectual against the Night Thunder Dream Beast, which resulted in getting hammered by the beast's lightning strikes. Its armor had already been charred!
Yang Jie's face darkened considerably. While his gaze swept over Li Nan, who was still unconscious, he vented his anger, "Useless thing, wake up!"
