"So, you are a little stronger than I initially thought? Well, nothing that I cannot handle, if that is all you have to offer." I said to it, probably not reaching its small brain. Lifting my hands one after another out of the rock, I flipped off of my back and onto my feet in one fluid motion. Seeing the flinch of the Wraith, I knew that it felt that it could not beat me. Before it tried to escape, I sent a couple of crimson spear bombs, full power, at the cave entrance, blocking its exit, as well as mine.
Not that I needed an exit. Since I did not need food or water, I could stay here indefinitely. The only problem with that is I need to return to the bar so I can maintain my stay there, which is probably hanging by a thread after that encounter with the royal pain in my ass. Anyways, looking at the collapsed exit, the dragon tried to scramble away from me, not able to fly due to its massive consumption of mana.
Doing a slow walk over towards the Wraith, making sure not to step on the trap door thing, I sprinted at it, shocking it with my speed. Doing a kick straight to its chin, I sent the little bastard flying. Thinking that that was the end of the battle, I started to feel a bit unbalanced. Looking down at my body, I saw a massive collection of scratches, some deeper than others. My left arm was the worst, sporting five lacerations that would be deadly for creatures that could bleed.
What?! I could not form spores to fill them?! Damn, this creature must be more powerful than I thought! Maybe it was only pretending to be weak to distract me! As if to confirm my suspicion, I saw the dragon was floating through the air, a weird sort of grin on its dog face. Stumbling to my knees, I could only look up at the monster hovering closer towards me, killing intent increasing every second.
Preparing to send all of my Mana at this damn creature, I readied up my crimson spears, bombs, and wind blades. Rearing its head back, it dived at me with more speed than I have seen it used before. At the same time, it raised its head, and I sent out my all. Thousands of spears, bombs, and wind blades filled the air around the Wraith, making its eyes widen in surprise.
BOOOOOOOM!!!!!
The cave shook, rocks and rubble flying across the room like shrapnel. Getting molested by multiple boulders, all I could do is take it, as my body is immobile by some kind of poison, although I do not know how it works. One thing I know for sure is that I hit the bastard right in its ugly face. As it so happens, when the smoke cleared, I saw it lying on the ground beside me, tongue lolled out of its mouth, foam spilling.
Before I could wonder what happened now, I saw a light blue light start to glow from the body of the dragon, materializing into an orb of the same color. Floating over towards me, it fell into my outstretched hand, which was the only extremity I could move. Flopping on my back, orb clutched to my chest, I closed my eyes and searched for the source of my paralysis. It did not take long.
Like when I searched myself to find my Mana supply, I went back to the same supply and found that there was some type of aura emanating around it, slightly green, compressing it. I do not know how it works, but it is a foreign object, so I need to expel it. Shifting my spores in such a way as to scrape all of that poisonous aura off of my origin spore, I spread it out through the rest of my body, pushing it through the pores of my human body.
Leaking green aura, I slowly regained strength in all of my limbs, standing up, holding the orb like a child with candy. Anyways, walking over towards the keyhole looking, this orb must be what opens it. Without further hesitation, I bent down and pushed the orb into the dent in the ground, fitting perfectly. After a couple of seconds, a slight vibration started from the hole, leading to some symbols that started to glow both off of the orb and around the trapdoor.
"Very interesting," I said to myself. Indeed, it was very interesting. Not only were symbols forming, but the ground was also opening up at a rapid pace. After a couple of minutes, there was a sizable hole in the ground, swallowing up the orb. Backing up, a small cage, large enough to fit a small person in, which is exactly what it had in it, showed up out of the hole. The orb in question was in the hands of the young lady in front of me, held out in a sort of praying position.
Slowly, but surely, the orb's light slowly started to decapitate, flowing into the hands, then the arms, then to the body of the woman, who had similar crystal horns as the Crystal Wraith. Thinking that this will take a while to finish, I went over to the incapacitated Wraith, which I knew was not dead due to its steady breathing. Cutting off my arm and thinning it out into a black rope, I tied up the mythical dog real good, enough for it to never get out unless I let it. Clapping my hands together, nodding at my work, I went back towards the cage.
Turning around, I found a pair of crystal blue eyes staring right back at me, the woman's mouth in a big O. As beautiful as this woman is, I cannot be sure that this seemingly harmless girl could be all that easy to conquer, not even for someone like myself.
