What a welcome surprise! I guess when I was looking through all of those notes and documents it must have triggered the sub-skill of writing comprehension, which is just as the systems did in most Isekai stories. The only difference I guess is that there is no science in my system. Not that it matters much to me.
The Speech one must have been one I already could do, I just have not used it as often as I would need to activate it. Anyways, why am I just level one? Normally, when the MC of the light novel evolves, the level is kept at the same and keeps on going up. But then again, in some of them, they do restart at the beginning but keep what they have before restarting.
Anyways, as long as I keep the strength I got before the evolution, and even gain more, I am fine with restarting from square one. The only problem is that I have to go fight some monsters to level up, as that is how I gained that many levels. The only other way is to absorb the energy from Alterian energy crystals, and I can't wait that long again, as I have enough strength to go against those monsters that almost killed me.
Anyways, lowering myself down from the ceiling, I quietly slid out the same window I came through, making my exit as silent as possible. What I was surprised about was not the confrontation with Alisia, not the way I got out of that situation, but how the girl interpreted it. I was just trying to get away by scaring Alisia by a dead father coming to her or making her get the rest of the girls for me only to be gone.
It happened with Rachel, but what Alisia got out of it is that she needed to get over her sentimentality to lead the village, which I guess could be a good thing, but still, it was not what I was hoping for. Anyways, since I have done all I could to make my plan for conquering the village set in place, it is time to visit the side quest checklist that I made.
1# Befriend the village
2# Control all the inhabitants
3# Plant new spore farms
4# Create a home and base for me with a harem of catgirls
5# Go conquer more land with any maps or stuff found in the village.
I did number 1, although not in the way of a formal friendship, more of a utility, usefulness, and trust. Number two will be put in place once the spores I planted in the dirt tunnels start getting inside the villagers, making their lives mine to take. So number two is just a matter of time. Number three is already over compensated with the massive tunnel system to affect the villagers. Number four, however, has not been addressed yet, and with that, I cannot do any of number five.
So I have done three of the five, albeit some will take a while. Number four and five will have to be done in about a year. It could take longer, but that depends on what I find during my travels. Anyways, it is my time to leave for now.
'It has been a very fun time here, but there's much more to learn in this forest, and a village of this size could not be the only thing that occupies it.' I thought. It's true, that this village may house a massive amount of people, but it is not big enough to be counted as anything more than a large village.
However, this could be changed if the new Elder or Elder expanded the walls of the village and added more housing for the poor and neglected. I think this is very needed not just for me, but for the Beatkin kind, as they have massive libido, which was proven by Argas. Then again, I don't know if it is just him that has it, or if it is all males, but still, I think they should expand.
But what I would love is a unique body. That might only happen if I either develop my skill so much or get a new skill that allows me to manipulate the materials I have learned to the extent that I create a new body, or steal a body from a dead person, and add some of the features from other people to make him unrecognizable.
Not wanting to get accidentally found out, I rolled down the flowery hill towards the gate. Stopping directly between the two posts, I took a last look at my village, and said farewell for a while, before I can return to cash in on my investment,
Now that those sentiments are over, I can finally go out and explore. Propelling myself away from the gate and materializing eyes and ears, I started my travel through the forest just as the sun was coming up. It was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen since being born in this world.
Swinging myself up a tall tree directly in front of the gate, I looked on in wonder at the sun slowly rising over the trees in the distance, which made me realize how small I was and how large this forest was. I Would not be surprised If the entire forest was one big continent, and my Blanket Operation was only covering a small quarter of the landmass that I am currently on.
Anyways, As I watched the sun rise over the trees, I looked at my surroundings and found that the clearing where the battle with the Apes took place was not far out, just a couple of miles from where I am currently. Thinking of heading over there to check out how my spores are doing, I launched myself from the top of the tree using the Ballers bone shells.
Speaking of which, I realized that the bone spores that I have accumulated have a different texture than my regular spores. Unlike the Alter spores, they are much harder and less pliable. This allows me to use them to create the bone structures of the creatures that I memorized. I don't think that I would have been able to without them.
I can only assume that the spores that will be coming from the Great Apes will be more durable or stronger than my regular spores or even the bone spore, as they are really strong monsters, but I have never Implanted on real flesh and tissue before, so I can't be sure until I reach the Apes.
If it is true and I get more powerful spores, then that would mean that the more powerful monsters I find, the more powerful I could become. But that raises the question of what my status screen says, and what the Attack, Agility, and Mana stats mean. I would assume, as they only went up due to me memorizing an organism with flesh on it and me evolving, that It copies the stats of the organism copied, and applies it to the status screen.
