Unable to be more surprised by the amount of spores I gathered, I thought that I would not be able to suppress the giant leap in mass. Gaining about a centimeter in diameter, and compressing it as much as I can without going subatomic, I would have to hide some of my current mass somewhere near me at all times. Not having time to worry about that now, I sensed that Argas was nearing my body.
Speeding across the rough dirt road, I rolled faster than a bowling ball down a hill. Making it to the shop with Argas and a few others on the horizon, I slid under the door in such a cool way, it would have made a binge worthy video. Anyways, I launched myself back into myself in the same place I was before I separated myself. Getting bigger, I decided that I would let Argas decide what could be the cause of such a thing.
Nearly gaining double my size from before I went out, I stayed on the desk wobbling back and forth not because I wanted to, but because I did not want to get caught. Waiting for that ever familiar bell, I saw Argas approach the door, but then pushed aside by the 8 burley men, swords in hand.
The door was slammed open, no bell to be sensed. The one who did the slamming was a giant man, however not as big as Gallen, and was followed by almost as big men, all having the swords I made with their hands.
"Is this the supposed 'Mimic Slime' that will save the village?" the tall man in from as incredulously, a hint of mocking as well. Sneering in disgust, he turned to Argas, who had an embarrassed face. To make someone such as Argas like this, these men must really be powerhouses. I know now that it is better to be cautious in this carefree world than carefree. It was not the same on earth, so it was a hard switch to make.
"Ha ha ha.. You really expect these amazing swords were made by such a pathetic monster? The past events must have finally gotten to him!" The leader of the group laughed, as well as his cronies. Listening to this, I remember a time when I was bullied by people just like this. Not wanting to relive the past, I readied some different weapons that I Memorized inside my body, which was easier to do now that I was bigger in size.
Reading for fight, I saw that they turned back to me. Looking on with disdain and enjoyment, his eyes lit up with what seemed like an idea I would not like him to perform.
"Hey guys, I know the best way to tell if the old man was telling the truth about this weak ass monster. What if we just crush it? That way we can have all the improvements we want and don't have any other threats to deal with?" The leader said with a confidence that could easily be confused with stupidity. What was that stupid logic?! Without me, the blades wouldn't be improved at all.
Maybe it's because they weren't informed by Argas, or they just underestimated me. Either way, they would find out that underestimating me would be a great mistake that they would surely regret.
"Wait! Don't kill it! It will most likely get rid of the improvements to the blade. You mustn't do this." Argas pleaded, worried that his hard work would go to waste if they killed me. Surprisingly, Argas knew that I had something to do with the improvements, but the fighting force would not listen. With over one thousand people in this village, only eight people were on the fighting force, probably including the Elder, but she will most likely use the weapon he already has, or use me as well to enhance it.
Anyways, these must be the major powerhouses in this village, so I can not underestimate them this time. Seeing them turn around, I readied my spears, knives, and swords inside my body, ready to spring out at a moment's notice.
"I'm not going to destroy it. Plus, if what you say is true, then it should be an extremely overpowered slime!" he laughed, followed by snickers from the other seven. I've always hated the people who follow the leaders of gangs because they have no other opinion besides doing what the leader tells them, which makes them just as guilty, if not more so.
