Chereads / Reincarnated as a Spore! / Chapter 4 - My First Skill?!

Chapter 4 - My First Skill?!

With that in thought, I have to go back to what I had learned from my teachers in the gang. Speaking of which, I wonder how they are doing. I did not see them grouped up with the rest of the traitors, so I can assume that they still have a soft spot for me. Although I miss them, I cannot trust that they would always be so kind to me, especially if they saw what the others saw. as for what they taught me, they taught me all they could. textbooks on biology, history lessons, philosophy, and other subjects of that matter.

I used this reasoning to find out what I am, how much I weigh, and a whole bunch of other things, such as keeping my cool, although that might be due to my dozens of times on battlefields, witnessing death all around me. as a trained killer, I have to be prepared to face these kinds of dangers and situations, alone. Although most find it sad and mind-numbing, I found that it was something to do, something to get the body going. it also took my mind off of my parents, and the hate I have for their treatment of me.

A killer like me has no place in regular society, which is why I never tried. this backfired on me a ton, as I might have saved my life in the end. But, what was there to go back to? There was no one I had a connection with, my friends and family betrayed me, and all the things I hold dear are gone. I would have gone crazy by all of it if I had not been crazy before. you see, there is a difference between insanity and crazy. insanity is something that can endanger everyone around you, and crazy is a term for someone who acts outside of social norms.

Although it might seem a little extreme to some, I find that using logic, the legal system could totally be rebuilt with more logical solutions. Oop got off track again. anyways, I spent some of my free time looking at some of the more relaxing things in the library, such as things asked the Librarians to go out and buy for me, which were comic books, light novels, and, after many attempts at getting them to buy me one, a computer with working internet.

this was good both for my personal health and as a way to expand my knowledge of light novels, which were all the rage among the younger members of the gang, who were not introduced to me at the beginning of joining the ranks. I suppose it was to let me settle in before shaming me that I was not the only prodigy there, although clearly, I was.

Anyways, not important. The main purpose of this story is that I had fantasies about isekai and all that other crap, but now it is happening, and I'm ecstatic. With unclear attention, I rapidly read through all the stats that I was presented with, which were the basic kind.

< Name: unknown >

< Race: Error… {Spore} >

< Strength: 0 >

< Agility: 2 >

< Vitality: 1 >

< Stamina: ∞ >

'....' I thought. Unlike those idiotic Isekai MCs who complain about how trash their stats are in the beginning and don't even mention how overpowered they are in the middle of the plot, I took this logically. Sure, these stats are shit, but I am a literal spore!

What do you think a spore could do compared to at least a ladybug. Nothing, nothing! With that info out of the way, I could not help but wonder what that error message meant. One thing that did piss me off was the lack of skills.

Not that I did not know how to fight, I'm talking about Game-like skills. In retrospect, there should at least be one skill that everyone should start with, to be fair, especially if, say, someone was reincarnated as a spore! 'Man, those light novels sure sugarcoated the process of becoming strong quickly. I wish it were true.' I said, hoping that this would ironically activate some system announcement.

{Request sent…Reply pending}

See, told you! I am just so great at this. Of course, I should not get so excited over being correct about something that was purely luck-based, but hey, I want to take the wins where I can get them. Waiting for a couple of minutes for this mysterious skill to load, I thought about how many epic skills I could get with this single request. I could get flight, invisibility, magic enhancement, and a multitude of other OP skills. the list is endless!

{Request received…Reward [Skill: Coalesce]}

'...The fuck?' is all I could think at that moment. This seems like being able to win the lowering odd of the lottery to 1/2 and still losing. 'What does Coalesce mean?' well I know what it means, to gather together, that that is used in an entirely different instance. However, I can't help but wonder what the description is. Let's see… *click*

[Coalesce: Lv 1}

You can gather materials you come into contact with around you and use them as an extension of yourself. You can choose what to use and what not to use. [ can lift heavier objects when leveling up.

NICE! This has many different uses. It might not seem that crazy to most people, as normal overpowered characters have something like {Legendary: Divine Blade!} or {SSS-Class: Ultimate Fire Dragon Summon} to defeat all their enemies, and although its overpowered, the MC is too stupid to use it to its potential, at least the way I see it. Anyway, back to the important shit.

Authors note:

I hope you guys are having a great time reading this story. It might seem a bit premature of me to do this at the beginning of the book, but I think that most people won't make it to the end if I don't. Anyways, thank you guys for all of your support, and continue reading!
