I got ready around 7 pm then I went to my sister's room to ask how much time does she need. She said," I will be ready in another 15 minutes." Then I went to the living room to spend some more time on TV. After about 20 minutes she came out of her room interest dressed glamorously.
Mom came right after that and she was already dressed for the occasion, so we went toward the restaurant right after she came. When we were on our way to the restaurant my mom asked us to call our dad and ask him how much time will he need to be there. He told us that he is also on his way to the restaurant we reached the restaurant at around 7:50 p.m. and we found our dad in the parking area. Then all of us went to the restaurant from where we were guided to our booked table.
After all of us settle down we ordered our dishes and then started making small talks, during which period I also informed our parents about my choice of going to the same college as my sister. They didn't have any objection to that, and just told me that if I ever have any problem I can ask for their help.
While we were having talks, the dinner came, we eat it, and then went to our home at around 9:40 p.m. without any major incident which same to be happening very frequently to me during this past month.
After reaching home, I bid farewell to my parents, after having a change of cloth, and went to work. The distance between my house and the store is about 10 minutes while walking.
I was on time as usual and I was greeted with the beautiful face of my first choice Sonali who just came before me. after I greeted her, we went to do our work and after a few minutes Malaika also came, she is usually 5 to 10 minutes late, which is not considered any big deal as we are allowed to be late by 15 minutes without any penalty.
At 10:15 everyone of my colleague has come, and the previous shift workers left, as we are supposed to wait 15 minutes after our shift ends before we are allowed to leave.
Malaika and Sonali were with me during their education though Sonali was from a different High School. One of the boys was in my High School while the other was from a different High School and the last was junior to us which meant he was in his last year of High School.
I gathered all of them and told them that I want to give them an invitation for tomorrow's dinner. They asked me why and I told them that I topped my college and wanted to celebrate it with them after I have celebrated with family. They accepted my invitation and asked me where will I be taking them to which I gave the name of the same restaurant from which I had just come after having dinner but this time I booked a normal table for 6. They were surprised by the name of the restaurant but quickly remember that I was just doing the job to kill time and not earn money like some of them.
We usually spent our time arranging the products on the shelf, or we browser our phone, or just chats with each other, because during night shift there is not much traffic, and likewise there are not many customers, that's why all the trainees are required to the start from the night shift so that even if they are not good at there job they will not cause a huge problem for the store.
As I am not yet very comfortable interacting with other people, I usually don't join their conversation very much so after doing my share of the work, I either listen to their conversation but don't take part actively or just use my phone to read some novel or browser internet for news and such.
Today was the same as any other day, but inside my mind, I was fidgeting very much as I had decided to ask Sonali on a date, that's too on a breakfast date which I have never heard about before. so I was very nervous and was searching for the perfect opportunity to ask her which didn't come even at 4:00 a.m. so I calmed myself and waited for when she will be alone. My chance came when it was around 5, so I decided to not waste any more time otherwise I will be left with no more opportunity.
I went up to her and asked, "Hey Sonali. What do you usually do after you finish your shift?"
She looked at me and said shyly," nothing much, I go straight home, usually."
I looked at her shy appearance and thought 'she is the perfect housewife material, as if she is this shy just while talking, she won't even think about the betraying me ever.'
I asked, "would you like to have breakfast with me, I would like that."
She said," umm~ I don't know, maybe but why?"
I knew she wouldn't agree so easily, It's good that I had thought of some excuses beforehand.
I said, " Have you decided which college you are going to go to? We can talk about that, and other things."
She hesitated but finally agreed.
So we decided to go to a nearby cafe which opens early, and I could tell from her eyes and body language that she also knows that I am asking her on a date but don't wanna be open about it.
Then some customers came so went on our way to do our job.
I was very excited about going on a date with her and I felt like the last 1 hour time was moving very slowly as if it wasn't an hour but a whole week.
Slowly but surely the time did pass, and it was time for us to get off work. Morning shift working came 1 by 1 and we were free to go at 6:10 am.
I and Sonali were the last ones to leave, so no one paid us too much attention, which was good for both of us. As we both were very nervous about it.
