Chapter 33 - Chapter XXXII

Her eyes open to see a vast field, life fills the area once groomed with despair. Katria looks around to find any clues that can lead to any progress. A twitch on her neck draws her to a glowing forest, growing by the second. Glowing roots emit a path for her to follow, memories flashing next to her as she walks forward. They swirl, circling together to form a being. Wings form, then a body, then eyes awaken as a fairy shines her presence onto Katria.

Fairy: "Who are you? Why are you here?"

Katria: "You act as if I know; I just woke up here."

Fairy: "Show some class human, you reek of immorality."

Katria: "Sorry, sorry. I spent way too much time on Earth after all."

A wing manifests itself on the back of Katria's shoulder as she bows. Elegance exerts itself on the fairy.

Katria: "So, believe me now?"

Fairy: "Hmph, so you are an angel after all. I couldn't tell due to how corrupted you are."

Katria: "I really should shoot you right now."

Fairy: "Hmph if you dare! You don't even have a we- "

A golden dagger manifests itself from Katria's hand. A stern golden essence overwhelms the fairy, surrounding itself with her neck.

Fairy: "Aw come on! I didn't want this to happen!"

The fairy pouts as the collar starts to link her essence to the smug-faced Katria.

Fairy: "Christ-sake, so have you a clue why you are here? Any idea?"

Katria: "Are you always this confusing?"

Fairy: "Fucks sake! Why are you here?"

Katria: "I thought you would know. It was your essence that brought me here."

Both of their brains seem to smoothen as they continue to argue. I can't believe I'm in charge of these smooth-brained people. These beings are even dumber than the ones I had to save during the Battle of Universe 50 years back. A golden essence spewed a path forward like dripping paint. Katria looks at the path with a confused look, the fairy shrugs and sits on Katria's lap. As they head toward the path, many arrows are shot at the duo. Katria quickly dodges the arrows and pulls out her bow, ready to defend herself and the fairy. She continues to dodge and deflect the arrows as she starts to sense the direction of the arrows. The fairy uses her magic to create a shield around them, protecting them from the arrows. Katria thanks the fairy and they continue down the path, now more cautious of potential dangers ahead.

Katria: "So, you have a name, right?"

Fairy: "It took you this long to ask me my name?"

Katria: "I mean I had to calm your cocky ass down, of course. I couldn't ask someone who was in their echo chamber about themselves."

Fairy: "Well that's true. My name is Brilenzil or just Bri for short. I'm the fairy that God sent to guide you on your journey."

Katria: "So Arino has another girl in his harem now, hm."

Bri: "Who is that?"

Katria blushes at the thought of Arino. Katria blushes at the thought of Arino. She can't help but feel her heart skip a beat every time she sees him, and she hopes that he feels the same way about her. A single thread of his charm has entangled her heart like a yarn ball. As she looks at the fairy, she smiles, seeming to already know how important he is to her. Katria has been trying to gather the courage to confess her feelings to Arino, but she is afraid of being rejected. She wonders if the fairy's smile is a sign that things will work out in her favor.

Bri: "It's very wholesome that a person is in love."

Katria: "At this point, I hope I do make my feelings known to him."

Bri: "It will happen at the right time, for right now let's focus on that thing ahead."

Katria looks up to see an ogre rampaging through the forest. She quickly draws her bow and aims, knowing that the ogre poses a threat to anyone who crosses its path. As she releases the arrow, she braces herself for the fight ahead.

Katria: "Ah for fucks sake."

Bri: "You know what you have to do already?"

Katria: "I can't let this forest get destroyed like this."

She pulls out two daggers, enhancing them with essence. The fairy taps her cheek, signaling her to stop. She pulls out two daggers, enhancing them with essence. The fairy taps her cheek, signaling her to stop. The ogre starts to devour a strange fruit from a tree, coating it with a rage-filled essence. The fairy warns the girl that using too much essence can have dangerous consequences and advises her to use it sparingly. Meanwhile, the ogre's eyes turn red as he consumes the fruit, and he lets out a terrifying roar.

Bri: "You have the essence to combat it, yes, but you don't know what powers that essence has.

Katria: "All right, I'll use it with precision, not power."

Bri: "It seems like God knew his stuff when he chose you."

In quick flashes, Katria cuts the ogre apart. Each slice immobilizes a certain part of his body. The ogre falls to the ground, defeated and lifeless. Katria takes a deep breath and wipes the sweat off her forehead, relieved that the battle is over.

Katria: "Whew, thank goodness for precision. I didn't even have to chant any incantations this time."

Bri: "Wait, you didn't use any incantations?"

Katria: "No, this is a basic essence spell, so I don't need an incantation."

Bri: "You have a lot of potentials, Katria."

Katria: "Seems like you know a lot about what the future holds for me."

Bri: "That's a secret for why I do."

Katria walks towards the aftermath of the ogre attack. A village manifests itself in the sight of Katria and the fairy. The once lively and vibrant village now lies in ruins, with buildings destroyed and debris scattered everywhere. Katria and the fairy cautiously approach, wondering if there are any survivors. The survivors slowly appear, fearful of the consequences. Of the villagers, one of them slowly walks up to her, bowing in front of her.

Villager: "I was the chief of this village here, but now there's no village to go back to. I hope you lead us to greatness, My Goddess."

As the other villagers bow to her, a new icon appears in front of her.
