While Zekron was fighting Arino, Katria was trying to escape and find a better position, but an assassin shot a silenced bullet at Katria. It almost hit her, but she dodged it at near perfect timing. As she got to her position, more bullets came her way.
Katria: "Show yourself! Stop being a wuss!"
As the assassin showed herself, Katria's eyes widened.
Assassin: "Oi! What's up cousin! Seems like they have reincarnated you! I can finally put you to rest again!"
Katria: "You're not taking me out this time, Savona. Last time I was naïve and stupid to think that targets wouldn't be on my back when I left."
Savona: "You think you'll beat me? What a nice joke!"
Katria: "Seems like I'll have to beat the cockiness outta you once again. Your arrogance has always been your downfall."
When Katria was dealing with her despicable family, she had a cousin named Savona who always tried to one up her in everything they both did. From grades to combat, Savona always fetched the validation of her family while Katria only did those for her desire. Savona would get all the credit for her accomplishment while Katria was shunned. Katria already found her own validation from an early age and that angered not only Savona, but the entire Tenshi family.
Anytime the family tried to taunt her about something Katria failed at, she just kept on trotting along, knowing that she is progressing and nothing ever just succeeds on the first attempt. This would have her realize her true worth and that was the main motivation for Katria leaving her family. When Katria found out that an assassin had been hired, she had a rough idea on who it was. Her intuition turned out to be right. As a masked girl came to the inn, Katria wasn't even surprised. She wasn't going down without a fight though.
Katria: "Seems like you were sent by them Savona."
Masked Savona: "They said no one else could do the job, so knowing it was you I had to accept."
Katria: "Oh well, let's get this over with."
As they fight, it seems like Sovana was completely outmatched. They both were completely matched in strength, but it seemed like Katria wanted to die all along. Even when Savona looked like she was near death, Katria wanted to fight to the death. But Savona wanted to get her back alive so she can brag that she finally defeated her longtime rival. It was a long rigorous fight until Katria stabbed herself with her own weapon.
Young[Dying] Katria: "Take... this Savona..."
Young Savona: "Wait, what are you doing?!"
Young Katria: "Teaching you all a lesson..."
Young Savona: "Why... Why?! Why are you doing this?! What's the point of dying now?! You have so much to live for! You are the golden child!"
Young Katria: "Golden Child? More like the emotional punching bag..."
With that last statement, Katria took her last breath. Savona pleaded with her to wake up but to no avail. Savona realized what she said and realized that she was right. She decided to not come back to the Tenshi palace. When the Tenshi family heard the news about Savona's self exile, they were very angry and confused about it.
Tenshi Member 1: "How could Savona betray us?! After all we did for her... She is a traitor!"
Tenshi Member 2: "It seems like Katria brainwashed her..."
A Tenshi mayor called upon to announce the news of Katria's death. The Tenshi were all riled up and joyful until they heard how Katria died.
Tenshi In unison: "Assisted suicide?!!!!"
Tenshi Mayor: "Yes, after a long battle with Savona, Katria stabbed herself and gave her ancient relic to Savona."
Tenshi Member 3: "This is outrageous!"
Tenshi Member 2: "What did Katria tell her?!"
Tenshi Member 4: "Probably some brainwashing again."
Tenshi Mayor: "No, all Katria said was that she was no golden child, but more of an emotional punching bag for the Tenshi family."
Tenshi Mayor 2: "I told Ronin to treat her like his actual daughter... Now look he lost both his daughter and his beloved niece."
Tenshi Mayor 1: "Yeah, he should have just raised her correctly, not like a toxic nuisance that she could live without."
Tenshi Mayor 2: "He couldn't realize that he is way too arrogant. What scum that leads us."
Tenshi Mayor 1: "You can't change the mind of the ignorant. He is hopeless."
Tenshi Mayor 2: "The only way for the ignorant to change is by one thing."
Tenshi Mayor 1: "What is it then?"
Tenshi Mayor 2: "Desperation"
As Savona and Katria continue to fight, It is clear who is winning the fight. Katria not holding anything back is a scary foe even for those high in the nobility ranks. Savona is shocked that she held back so much in their first fight, but she is also angry.
Savona: "Why did you hold back so much strength?!"
Katria: "Because I wanted you to accomplish your mission back in the day."
Savona: "I left because I saw the Tenshi for who they really were, egotistical scum! And yet after all this time, I still felt like I was being left behind by you..."
Katria: "Realizing who our family were, made us closer by default. Don't worry about catching up to me in strength. The moral compass is much more important than just mere strength."
Savona: "You're right, but... I fell back into the nobility's hands once again... I don't think I can forgive myself."
Katria: "At times of grief and pain, it alright to fall back to what you know. I know it hurts but you can still redeem yourself. Redemption is only found through true self realization. Without realization, no one can truly redeem themselves."
Those who believe they have redeemed themselves never went through the self realization that they messed up in the first place. After the memories of Katria's first death and their final fight came flowing in, Savona realized who she wanted to fight for. She wanted to fight for her dear cousin, even when she was brainwashed by the Tenshi to hate her, she truly adored her.
As Savona broke down crying, Katria held her close to her arms, she was glad she has a family member that actually loves her. After they made up, Katria and Savona went to see how Arino was holding up. He managed to stop Zekron from using Saekano but he fled away. As Arino struggles to keep himself, Katria comes to help him.
Katria: "You should've at least called me for backup, y'know."
Arino: "Yea I should've, but this fight was personal so I didn't want any interference."
Savona: "Why hello there! You must be Arino, the misjudged devil from the land of the Transcend."
Arino: "Nice to meet you! You must be Katria's cousin. It's a pleasure to have you on our squad!"
And with that battle over with, the new trio of two angels and one devil has emerged from the battlefield. Now they continue to explore the area. As they explore Aurora, Savona realizes that her weapons weren't that good compared to the ancient relics that Arino and Katria had. So Arino and Katria helped her find a relic that fit her combat style. The trio venture forth, rescuing civilians, searching for relics when they find a certain sniper hidden in a hotel. When Savona saw the sniper, her eyes widened.
Savona: "That's- that's my sniper... Stuck in all this rubble."
Katria: "Don't touch it just yet, it might still be corrupted by manipulation magic of the nobility."
Arino: "Seems like they are masters of hiding behind the brainwashed hm."
Katria: "Indeed they are, they are such wusses."
Arino picks up the sniper to revert the angel energy away from the nobility. When Savona picked up her sniper, a flood of memories came rushing in her head. She falls to the ground, shell shocked at what she saw.
Katria: "Are you okay?"
Savona: "Yes, I'm fine. It's just shocking to regain all the memories of me being brainwashed..."
Arino: "Welp that's what happens when you pick up a relic full of memories. It shows growth and development. I'm glad you haven't gotten corrupted again"
Savona was flustered by Arino's words. It looks like Arino has touched Savona's heart, and he is the first one to do so. Arino will treat her well, because after all she is one of his only allies.
Arino: "Well we found nothing in this city."
Katria: "Welp at least we got some memoria for Savona. That's good I guess."
They venture forth, leaving the huge city of Aurora liberated and free. The nobility doesn't control it anymore. Before they leave, Katria and Savona have the city rebuilt. This rebuilding process took 2 weeks, since even with the magic art Sai kōchiku, it still takes a lot of precision and magic energy out of a person. Arino destroyed most of the urbanized buildings. When the process was finished, Aurora looked like a nice estate that the citizens can live in without worry. The citizens finally have freedom, something they have been desperately wanting since the nobility took over 10 years ago. Before the trio left, Arino decided he wanted a team name.
Katria: "What name did you have in mind?"
Savona: "It better at least have a cool name to it. I ain't going to go with no corny name y'know."
Arino: "How about The Burdens of the Lost? It means we are the lost burdens of the scum of the world."
Savona: "It actually has a nice ring to it."
Katria: "I mean society does see us as burdens that couldn't be bothered to deal with anyway."
Arino: "Then we show society what happens when you see people as burdens used for power and money then! How does that sound!"
Katria: "You always have the most crazy and stupid ideas."
Savona: "I agree but at the same time, I like your confidence."
Katria: "Seems like someone caught feelings hehe."
Savona: "Shut up before I slice you in half."
As they venture forth in the world, they'll always be known as The Burdens of the Lost. And soon enough, these burdens of society will be the one that save the Anomaly from destructing itself.
