"Captain Holland, the commission of the 7 families requests an audience".
Sitting in the living room of her apartment, Drei turned off her personal radio after receiving for the tenth time the invitation from a group of elders that arrived a few days ago. After receiving the men from the 7 families at the airport, Drei asked for some time off and locked herself in her apartment waiting for Rou's return.
"How much longer will you be on that side", said Drei looking at the footprint on the floor where Rou disappeared.
Only the women, as the oldest elder in the Holland family, had extensive knowledge of the crystals that appeared when the chosen women turned 10 years old. This information was given only to their successors who demonstrated great loyalty to the family and also possessed great potential in the future.
Some men, in their greed to discover the possibility of obtaining an unknown power by stealing these crystals, used all kinds of methods to obtain them, even killing the girls in case they affected their plans. In one of these situations, Drei was kidnapped by a noble family that was rising rapidly in the region.
In order to obtain more power, the families did not hesitate to force the chosen women to give birth to their children, hoping to create a strong lineage in their own families.
The Holland family, which was one of the vassal families of the 7 main families, due to the fact that in only one generation more than 3 chosen women appeared within it, was destroyed in only one night, taking the young survivors as servants of each family, where they only spared the lives of their mothers, by having the possibility of creating others like them.
"Miss Holland, I know you can hear my words. I have been sent especially to take you along with the envoys of the families, please don't make this any more difficult and open the door," Sin said, standing on the other side of the door next to a large group of men.
Drei remained silent, she wanted to be at the moment Rou returned from the desolate world, where only the chosen women could enter for a short period of time, receiving a great amount of unknown energy, which in time they would transform them into their own strength.
"It seems he has no intention of listening to us," Sin said raising one of his hands. "Destroy the entrance, we have specific orders to take it with them no matter what," the men stepped forward ready to destroy the door with two large steel pipes.
Clack, the door was opened.
"Lead the way, for now I will forgive your insolence, but if you try to damage my apartment again, each of you will pay the consequences", Drei watched each of the men who stood frozen in their situation.
She had used only a fraction of her strength, but that was enough to leave the men unwilling to continue lowering their heads.
The commission of the 7 families was composed of only 3 men, each one of different ages, being the youngest of them at the age of 20 years old.
Drei was escorted to the 20th floor of the control building, where only the supervisor of Vargo Island and the members of the 7 families could enter.
"It is an honor to see you again Miss Drei", an old man dressed in a luxurious white suit greeted Drei, being the first to take her hand in courtesy.
"Joan Vankoff, take your hand back before you lose it," the younger man said without looking at Captain Drei. "She looks ready to kill," he added.
Joan Vankoff recoiled as he heard his partner's words, he couldn't see when a sharp air blade cut into his location leaving a large indentation in the floor.
"My schedule is limited, I will only be with you for 5 minutes and then I will leave. I hope you can hold your hands, I don't need to remind you what can happen if you try your luck", Drei sat in one of the empty places and crossed her legs waiting for the words the dogs of the 7 families had to say.
Gali's village
Rou followed Gine through Gali's village. The main cavern was as wide as 5 soccer stadiums, where most of the houses were built of mud and stones, being one or two stories high.
The common clothing for the men was a leather suit, with some metal plates on the upper part of their bodies. The women, each wore their light armor, made of leather and wood, where only some carried weapons such as swords and daggers hanging from their waists.
The air of the environment reminded Rou of a scene in a market in medieval times, where every so often, a cart was pulled by two animals that followed the orders of their owners, only that the animals pulling the carts were neither oxen nor horses, but two lizards with a veil over their heads, every so often sticking out a long sharp tongue from their mouths.
A few meters away from Rou, about 20 female hunters were talking among themselves, remembering the words of Master Gine.
"You seem sure of your words, I wonder how long you can keep up that performance," Gine said pushing open the wooden door, of a 3-story house that had the symbol of a sword on the top.
Crossing the entrance, Rou felt a group of small hairballs jump into his body.
Gine walked through the darkness of the house, and in a moment the torches at the entrance lit up, revealing the tiger cubs playing on Rou's body.
"Since they've been small, they missed me," Rou petted each of the tigers who looked up with glowing eyes at Rou.
"They can wait, there is something you must do before you can be free."
Rou set the tigers down on the ground after petting each of them, there were many questions Rou wanted to ask the woman in front of him and the tigers stood still, looking accusingly at the woman who took Rou away.
"Is it about the energy in my body or about these little ones that came with me," Rou asked.
"That can wait," said Gine walking towards one of the rooms at the back of the house.
Rou instinctively followed her, unlike the place where he appeared after being knocked unconscious, the walls were finely finished, with some paintings of an abstract art on the walls and maps that Rou could not identify at the moment.
"What do you think of Erina's acting, do you think it's normal?" asked Gine, taking a seat in a room big enough to hold 10 people.
Rou took a seat across from her and replied, "At first I thought she had lost her mind, but after listening to her for a moment, I could partly understand what was going on.
"I see, that girl seems to have talked more than necessary. Then you must know about this book," Gine put down a leather book, of the same design Erina showed him in the healing area.
"I do," Rou said.
"Every girl under my teachings must learn all her techniques before going to the surface, only the apprentices can wait at the entrance, giving assistance to the wounded returning from battle."
"Erina and Latisha are among them," added Rou.
"That's right, but there is something else that does not appear in the copy I give to my apprentices, as a future member of my village, I ask you before I reveal this information to you, will you leave us if you have the chance?".
Rou for a moment could see a trace of weakness in Gine's face. He knew that at some point he had to leave that place, if he figured out how to get back together with the captain he would have done it on the spot, but before thinking about any of those situations, Gine began to speak again.
"In a way I knew it, you don't need to answer, it was just a question I had inside me," Gine opened the book and selected one of its pages before extending the book towards Rou. "First look at the contents of those pages."
"Certainly the content is different from the book Erina showed me," Rou said reading the pages of the book in front of him.
Gone were the seduction techniques and sexual positions between partners, instead, the book seemed to be the diary of a woman who was at the end of her days.
"The last boatload of survivors was launched this morning, I hope they can find a safe place before their fuel runs out, it's the only thing I can do for them from here. Who would have thought that our own kindness was to blame for the death of millions of people on the ship, maybe we were too naive, I just hope my children will forgive me, I won't be able to be with them when they wake up from their sleep. At least I hope they manage to revive what was once our great civilization, we managed to travel across the stars colonizing hundreds of planets with the possibility of sustaining our descendants, now they are only left to their fate."
Rou wanted to read more, but the letters were blurred due to time, if he wanted to retrieve some of its contents he needed someone with the ability to transcribe ancient texts, something he was not proficient in.
"You seem to be able to understand its contents," said Gine who in an unfamiliar moment sat down next to Rou.
"This book hides more than it seems," Rou said as he recognized the symbol of a space center from his previous world. The year was marked 3011, and there was writing in different languages he didn't know.
