Ether, attentive to the information at her fingertips, decided to take matters into her own hands once again. Requires a clean slate. Being the independent lady she is, Ether sets off on her mission without anyone else's help because she enjoys the excitement.
'You know I know everything you're thinking, Ether,' Ruth said.
Ether gave an inward sigh and said, "sure, and you will be with me along the way so that you won't miss the excitement!" she said in a mocking tone.
'I have faith in your ability to defend yourself; you impressed even Clarence with your mettle.'
'I don't have to prove anything to anyone, and while we're on the subject, that tense guy could use a good stretch. Why did you give him that personality?"
'Well, you can always switch the rhythm around,' he said.
Ether gave her a sneaky grin in response. 'You've given me a fantastic idea; I really appreciate it. Given that, I'm going to give him a task!'
