Nolamine screamed.
It was when the feeling of sadness was about to overwhelm him as he started to think that Martyr was really dead that he moved and scared the living daylights out of him.
He had thrown him onto the ground out of freight when he did. That was when he started molting like a snake as Martyr's skin separated from his body as he wiggled his way out of his now-dead skin.
His new skin looked glossy and his head, by the upper part of it was now a tentacle that he could stretch and retract to a normal scale with a rune written on it.
"You little bustard. You almost had me there."
Nolamine said with a big smile that he quickly vanquished. He went to grab him but again, the same thing happened. Nolamine who was again surprised left him this time and just watched over him, no more scared of losing him.
