After Martry shad his skin multiple times during the Scarlet Moon, Nolamine had been trying to figure out how he functioned, the limits to his power and what the runes where for.
During the six months he was only able to find out that Martyr could now turn to the creature with tentacles anytime Nolamine wanted him too, but other than looking monstrously ugly, that was all there was to it, for now.
He also found out that the only time that this kind of rune would give our a faint light as for now, it would happen when Martyr had devoured a large amount of mana and then the light would intensify as he devoured more.
Through experimenting, he found out that the more the rune's light intensified, the more concentrated the Chaos Energy Martyr would release, meaning it was even more disruptive.
