Alepou formed a round shield in her hand with the same material from the bubble power. As she slammed down the edge of the shield on the floor, Volk was surrounded by a translucent yellow aura which protected him. Lykos ran forward and got in between the two. He swung at Volk with his axe, while with his other hand he pushed Alepou back. Lykos left a dent on the protective aura as Volk swung his sledgehammer from the side and hit Lykos in the stomach, making him flinch and move back a bit.
Kenos swung at one of the creatures, his Halberd bounce right off of it as he got scratched by it. Tori sliced through it, protecting Kenos. Okami rubbed his hoodie and made a wall of fire between Alepou and the two. Volk hit his shield with the sledgehammer, which made Lykos lose his power and swung at him from above. Lykos held the axe with two hands above him to block the hit. Volk swept Lykos' feet off of the ground and as he fell to the ground, Okami protected Lykos from being hit.
Volk: You two sure are something...
As Star Diamond and X-02 clashed, Volk kicked Okami back, which made him trip on Lykos. Kenos had stopped moving entirely, confused on why he couldn't hit the creatures. Tori moved behind him, as the two were back to back she questioned him.
Tori: You plan on doing something big guy?
Kenos: I- I can't hit them.
Tori: What?
She sliced through one who jumped at her.
Kenos: How are you hitting them just fine.
Tori: I don't know, ya got any power that can help me fight?
Kenos: Yeah, but I have to keep you in my line of sight.
Tori: That works. On three.
Tori and Kenos: 1!
Lykos regained his power and blocked an incoming hit from Volk with ease.
Tori and Kenos: 2!
Okami stretched his arms and grabbed Volk's sledgehammer.
Tori and Kenos: 3!
Lykos snapped his fingers and everything around him and Volk stopped moving.
Volk: This again? Come on, use some new tricks.
"Ly, you know not to use this one!" said the voice in Lykos' head.
Lykos: Shut up! I will use anything for him to get away from her!
"That doesn't mean you should lose yourself like this!" he exclaimed.
Volk: So I am the problem then...
Lykos looked at him without the black eyes.
Lykos: You became the issue when you messed with her and trusted him!
He started tapping on the floor again with the axe.
Volk: Why would I trust anyone else?! YOU were the one I trusted before and look at how it turned out.
As much as Lykos tried holding back his feelings it was too much. His eyes changed again, this time it wasn't the black eyes. His eyes filled with tears as he looked away.
Lykos: If only you had let us explain back then!
Volk: Don't try acting like that! It won't work on me!
Volk hit the ground with his shield and the ground shook. Lykos put his axe forward to defend himself. Volk ran forwards and swung down at him but as Lykos blocked with the axe, Alepou had appeared behind him. She was able to move even though Lykos had stopped everyone. Without hesitating, she drove a sword made of the same material from the bubble through his stomach. Volk moved back as Lykos' axe disappeared. As blood spewed out from Lykos' mouth, he looked back at Alepou who had tears on her eyes as well.
Volk: I-
Alepou moved back, her hands shaking. Volk dismissed his armor and weapons. Everything started moving again. Tori and Kenos turned around to look at each other. Tori felt all her senses heighten immediately. She moved quickly and sliced through a creature who was about to attack Kenos. She smiled as she felt way faster than before now. As she caught a glimpse of Lykos she got worried but knew she had no time to do anything right now. She heard another creature approach her and Kenos. With almost lightning speed she jumped up back while turning around and piercing her blade through a creature. Kenos keeping her eye on her, ducked down as she swung at his position to slice another creature. She lit a flame in her hand and spread it around them causing anything close to them to burn up entirely. She slid into the fire and drove her blade through Alepou's leg, so she couldn't move. Furthermore, she kicked Volk back immediately after move over to Lykos.
Tori: Ly!
He coughed up some more blood as he looked over at Alepou who was on the ground. Kenos took notice of everything happening thanks to Tori. Okami stood motionless as the room caught fire.
Volk: I- I didn't want this to happen... I only wanted to rough him up. Ale, what did you do?!
Okami: You seriously only wanted to hurt him! AND YOU PUT EVERYONE ELSE IN DANGER?!
Tori looked at Volk angrily.
Tori: You even toyed with the one person he cares about the most...just for a fight?!
Kenos walked through the fire.
Kenos: You destroyed this building and hurt the people inside...FOR THIS?
Everyone grouped up against Volk as something was heard outside. Yuzui and everyone else who was sent away walked into the room. Lykos put his arm out and with little strength summoned his Telum. The blood stopped pouring from the wound. Everyone noticed that his hair had turned black and only had that one arm. He started speaking in a low voice.
Stella: Ugh, had to take the wheel for a minute...but, I don't have a lot of strength to keep the axe out.
A bubble was created which pushed Tori away and trapped Stella inside it along with Alepou. She crawled over to Stella.
Stella: Oh no.
She grabbed the axe and threw it outside the bubble and sat up. Tori was hitting the bubble with all her strength as Kenos and Okami didn't let Volk move a muscle.
Tori: Katharos! You better not do anything stupid because I swear on Izanagi's name... I will make your death the most painful experience you've ever had!
She kept hitting the bubble even more agitated. Alepou created a small dagger from her bubble power and lifted it up.
Alepou: Tell me why... I shouldn't drive this through your heart you backstabber!
Stella looked at her eyes and knew she wasn't kidding. As he felt everything around him get colder, he recalled a memory from years ago. He smiled as he put his hand on her head.
Stella: Do what you want Ale. Just know he was always thinking about you, every minute...
Her hands shook as she dropped the dagger. Before it even landed it disappeared as she put her hands on the wound. "Sorry" she said with a crack in her voice as she made the bubble disappear. Tori rushed in and grabbed her up by the shirt while Kenos walked towards him. He grabbed Stella up by his arm and said "Use the time you have wisely, Argos."
