“A family heirloom?” Sybil asked as she moved her body so that she could look at Andrius.
He nodded and reached forward to run his fingers along the leather strap attached to it.
Sybil noticed the solemn appearance on his face when he looked at the heirloom as if it was something he was almost frightened of.
He very gently took it from Sybil and looked at it for a long second before he sighed and placed it around his neck like a necklace. He picked up the triangle and looked at it again before letting it drop to his chest.
Finally meeting Sybil’s eyes, he offered a small smile that didn’t quite reach his eyes before he said “My father gave it to me. It’s something that’s passed down from generation to generation upon the death of the King.”
“But your father is still alive,” Sybil said with confusion clearly written on her expression.
