“I tried telling you earlier when we were in your room,” Andrius said in a rushed voice, unable to hide the panic he felt.
Looking at the obvious pain on Sybil’s face was difficult for him. It was even more difficult knowing he caused that pain because of how he was in the past.
“That’s what I meant when I said that I shared a bed with the women. That I was intimate with them,” Andrius explained.
“Intimate in the way husbands and wives are?” Sybil asked as she continued to look in front of her at the messy table.
She blushed asking that question, and was unsure of if she was ready to hear the answer. The church and the sisters always taught that there was a special kind of intimacy shared only when you became married, but Sybil didn’t know what it was.
