When the party was done and all of the guests had departed, Sybil bid the royal family goodnight before she went to leave for her room. Much to her surprise, Andrius ran after her and insisted he walked with her.
Sybil had gotten so used to being independent for herself, all while taking care of others, that it felt unusual for someone to be looking out for her. Although, she had to admit that it gave her butterflies that Andrius wanted to take time out of his night to escort her. She knew how tired she was at the end of the night and how badly she wanted to get to bed, so she figured he probably felt the same way, yet he still cared enough to walk with her.
“I hope the party wasn’t too overwhelming for you,” Andrius softly said as they sauntered down the hall.
“It was nothing I couldn’t handle,” Sybil told him with a small giggle.
