As Anastasia crossed through the gallery, she took notice of how there were only a couple of Caspian’s servants who were diligently standing there.
It was almost midnight after all. Most of the others had already left to their own rooms or their homes.
Secretly, Anastasia was thankful that there wasn’t a crowd that was waiting to chastise her with their hateful glares.
Upon reaching the door of the King’s chamber, she was greeted by a familiar voice.
“Greetings, Your Majesty.”
Percy took a couple of steps forward and then informed the Queen immediately, “His Majesty isn’t in his chamber currently. I will send someone to contact you the moment he returns.”
Since he had no idea how many more hours or days the King would take to come back, he didn’t want the Queen to loiter around the King’s chamber in vain, especially after knowing that the Queen’s health wasn’t that great.
