Around half an hour had passed.
Cillian’s crying and wailing and pleading hadn’t stopped yet.
Everard was sitting close by, covering both of his ears with his hands as the boy’s screams became more and more unbearable for him.
“Your Majesty,” Jerome looked at Everard with pity and asked once more, “Why don’t you go back to your chamber? The doctors won’t let anything happen to him.”
However, Everard didn’t respond to Jerome’s voice of concern. He simply kept on covering his ears and pretended not to hear Jerome at all.
Jerome sighed in defeat and focused his attention on Cillian once again.
The doctors had successfully pulled the bone back to its place and were currently cleaning Cillian’s blood from his punctured organs.
