Almost immediately after Everard and Cillian fell to the ground after colliding with each other, several of the King’s Guards rushed over and surrounded both of them, creating a barrier.
“Arghh!” Cillian let out a guttural sound and rolled over to his side while holding his stomach and chest.
Although Cillian didn’t seem to be bleeding on the outside, from the way he collided with the Alpha, people around him were sure that the kid had sustained severe internal injuries.
Everard grunted and got up on his feet. He was obviously not hurt anywhere but he was mad at the boy who stood on his path like a dummy. Now, because of that dummy, he was surrounded by his guards and Jerome was also approaching him again.
The not-so-careful escape that he carried out just now from his bathroom window became completely useless because of the boy. As a result, his plan to go and look for any clues about Ruby was halted.
