Maria sat in her garden, enjoying the coolness of the evening. Her flowers were healthy, the plants greener, the fruits blossoming, and her revenge was going as planned.
Life was great for her. She had even begun to see past the weirdness a potential relationship with Roy would look like. It was a great day for Maria, and nothing was going to ruin it. Or so she thought until her eyes caught the silhouette of a woman who was rather excited about how she moved.
Maria blinked twice, and the image was gone. She chuckled slightly and termed it a mirage. Maybe her excitement was causing her to hallucinate. She thought, bringing her attention back to the novel she was reading.
She had read two extra pages when a thought suddenly occurred to her. Since last night when she ran to her room to escape the curiously of Zia and Ursula, she was yet to see both women. It was probably why everywhere was so calm.
