Chapter 76 - The Special Meal

"What exactly are you doing?" Ursula said, walking into the kitchen where she saw Maria holding a pan.

"Cooking. What does it look like?" Maria shrugged.

"You're cooking? You? You don't cook, Maria. You barely even eat," she said, amazed. She watched as her friend diced some veggies. If she concentrated any more than she currently was, a vein would probably pop out.

"Nonsense! Absolute nonsense! I cook all the time. Remember that one time in China?" She asked, frowning.

"You thought the poor old woman invited you to eat. Wasn't it when you got there you realized it was a cooking competition? If my memory serves me right, you came last," Ursula emphasized, snatching a carrot and biting into it.

"What of that time in London? My food was so nice you ate and left no crumbs," she bragged.

"Honey, why do you think I couldn't follow you to the spa the next day?"
