Maria successfully barged in with Ursula into her room before she angrily swung the door shut.
"I'm not talking to you right now, Marie."
"Look, I know you're mad, but can you at least listen to me?" Maria asked sincerely.
"No!" Ursula maintained her stance.
She jumped into her bed and put the covers over her face. This was her little way of blocking out Maria. She could not believe for one moment that Maria would suggest she was that easy. Yes, she had her weak moments.
Yes, she wore her heart on her sleeves. However, it still did not give anyone the right to talk down on her—especially not her best friend.
"Oh, come on, princess," Maria tried further, but she was met with more resistance. She managed to create some space beside Ursula and sat on it.
"Since you don't want to see me, I only need you to listen," Maria waited for a reaction, but nothing was forthcoming, so she continued instead.
